She is right about taking to you doctor she will help you figure out exactly what you need to do my doctor really helped me.
remember portioning is the most effective part... but don't starve yourself... look at the food pyramid and following the portioning it gives you (this is cheaper way if you can't afford to go to the doctor or you don't have time) fill in the answers and it will tailor the pyra mid just to you :)

The reason you are gaining the wweight back is once a fat cell is created it never goes away. so you lose the weight and the fat cells shrink and then you stop diet and it's really easy for them to grow again... thats why first it is important to get to the point where you aren't making any more, then to the point where you lose weight and the to maintain it... by slowly going back to eating the stuff you like but always in smaller portions!
what a healthy weight is: Keep in mind that is doesn't take bone structsur or muscle mass into consideration. So if you are very muscular you need to remember that muscle weighs a lot more than fat so you should weigh more. Also if you have a thick bone structure (you can tell by someparing your writes to other people's if you writes are mainly skin & bone like they should be and are bigger than most peoples then you have large bone structure or the oppposite for smaller) you should also weigh more.
According to the BMI (body mass index) you are normal and should be worried about losing weight, but just about maitaining it.

Of course you need to feel good about yourself, eating heathly and excerise will make you feel good about yourself whether you are losing weight or not because it releases endorphins, causes you to sleep better (which will help you age slower and not look tired) and have more energy.
Also remember the more muscle mass that you have... the more calories you burn throughout the day.
Eating disorders... don't go to the extreme.
Anorexia and bulima can cause some pretty gross side effects.... so if you are trying to be skinniy to be "pretty" It best to do it the helthly way that way your hair won't fall out or your teeth won't rot.
I wish you the best. just remember the most important thing is that you feel good!

You are really not a bad weight, right now. However, you can talk to a physician. They may be able to help, some. A lot of it requires YOU to do what it takes. Maybe you should start off slow. Make gradual changes. That way it is easier for you to adjust.
You should start off:
Eating 6 small well balanced meals a day (this will keep you from getting hungry as often & raise your metabolism), Go for a normal paced walk (with friends or listen to a portable CD player while you're doing it). Do this 3 times a week at first, then increase it. You can do more exercises over time. As you are comfortable with it. Just being active is also a good way to reduce weight. Drink lots of water ( it can be flavored/carbonated and you can use low or no calorie add ins). These are life style changes. They take commitment and continued practice. If you eat something you shouldn't or don't exercise one day, don't go on a guilt trip. Just get back to it.
You do need some fatty foods. Really it's about portions.

Hum I'm 5 nothing I use to weigh 130 at 17 as well what I did was I took a pic of myself and hung it on my fridge than every time I wanted the fatty foods it would remind me of what I didn't want to look like. You should consult your doctor before going on any diet. But cutting out donuts will help out. And not eating fast food will help too. What I did to loose weight is I ate a lot of soup and salad and ran a lot. If you exercise before you eat that can help as well. Or an 2 hours after you eat go jogging jump rope that will help as well.
You shouldn't hate your self either in my opinion 130 at 5 2 isn't over weight.
If you really like chips try a corn chip or a flour chip baked chips are the best and are a bit healthier. Most of the new diets out there in my opinion aren't good for you because your cutting out things you need. If you really want a snack try fruit or special k cereal. Yogurt is always a healthy choice as well.
Hope this helped but please talk to your doctor first they know whats best for you and are more help.

First off, if you are 5'2" and 130 you are not "fat", you are just a tiny bit over what is recommended for you age and height.
Second, it is a life style change, not a diet that you want. My suggestion; eat healthy foods, drink lots of water (no sodas or calorie-loaded coffee drinks) and have fund with exercise (bike, walk, hike, etc., with a buddy helps too).
Third, be realistic; your bone structure and heredity makes a big difference with regards to body weight too. Remember muscle weighs more than fat, but when you have more muscle mass, you look slimmer. If you are petite, you have a small bone structure and that makes a difference for your weight vs if you have large bones. Bones weigh something and the more bone structure you have, the more you will weigh overall.
Last, be happy with who you are and always want to be your best, but don't buy into other peoples expectations or silly things the media feeds us. Just be healthy and active.
