You can't! You can, however, read this book: The No-Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley. It takes some work, but you will see progress soon enough. To anyone who thinks it's too much work, I will say that the NCSS is less work in the long run because the baby is TAUGHT how to go to sleep, rather than abandoned and left to scream until he passes out from exhaustion. You'll have to teach your child to sleep sometime, so you might as well do it now.

I let my daughter cry it out when she was 6 months old. If took her 3 nights, but after that, she would lay down and go to sleep with out any problems. Also, setting a bedtime routine seemed to help. Dinner, bath, massage, bottle while reading to her, and then I would lay her down.
