I am really sorry and I do sympathize with you. I don't think people who have never been overweight realize how much it affects your self-esteem and nearly every other part of your life. I am a medium weight now and 2 times in my life I was 50 lbs overweight and managed to lose it.
I think first of all, you need to realize that there is no miracle or super quick cure. I know this sounds old but you need to make out some kind of eating plan (I hate the word diet) that will allow you to have some freedom. Like making out a list of several meals that are not fattening that you could eat for each 3. And let yourself have snacks too, just let them be something not that fattening that you do like. When I was trying to lose weight I let myself blow it once a week. It helped me from feeling too deprived. And by that I mean letting yourself just have a great meal of your choice, not eating like crazy all day. I think a lot of people put themselves on "diets" and when they blow it they just figure,"What the heck, I may as well just eat whatever I want. I have lost it all." I don't think there is anyone in the world who has gone on a "diet" and totally stuck to it like a perfect angel.
Also, even though you say you cannot go to the gym, can you walk? Can you ride a bike? Even doing things like that will help increase your metabolism, and once you have done them, you won't feel like giving up the effort you have made for eating in the wrong kind of way. Any type of physical activity will help.
My best wishes to you,
Catherine

Possibly, the South Beach diet to start.
Also, a no carbohydrate diet for one full month....NOTHING carbohydrate! No breads, no cookies, cake, pie, rolls, breading, cookies, no pasta, no rice, no spaghetti, no macaroni, no peas, no beans, no carbohydrates.
No sugar at all...no corn syrup.
No molasses.
Nothing fried for a full month. Baked, boiled, broiled is OK
Eat lots of vegetables. Note: Corn is NOT a vegetable. Surprise. It is a grain, NO grain, because grains are carbohydrates.
NO candy, except diet Candy without sugar.
No dairy of any sort for a month. Dairy products, specifically cheese are 1/3 pure fat. No pizza. ever again, unless it's eventually soy cheese. The pizza dough is specifically very high gluten-sugary and chewy, No good for us.
Eat lots of fresh fruit on the morning, like peaches, pears, plums, grapes, apples, peaches. Eat grapefruit if you tummy can handle it.Nothing in a sugar syrup unless you rinse off all the syrup.
...eat very little dried fruit. It's full of too much sugar.
Eat little or no tropical fruit, like pineapples, guava, etc.
No milk, no cheese.
Also, you can eat soy products, like tofu, like soy cheese ( A little bit), and best is dried soy nuts.
Note; Eat very little regular nuts and only after three months: They are laden with high calories.
Eat fresh green and colorful vegetables. They are great for you.
So for one month, It's lean 4 ounces once a day of any meat, a clean no fat chicken, or fowl, like turkey, or chicken, plus loads of vegetables like asparagus, green leafy greens, eggplant, tomato, cucumbers, avocado, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, beets, Okra, radishes, scallions, etc, with a no or low cal dressing, unless you have to use just a little oil, olive oil: one tablespoon, with some lemon juice, and maybe salt and peeper, and/or oregano. Fresh salads are great. But avoid those store bought dressings. They'll destroy your diet.
No ice cream, no yogurts.
----------------------------------------------------------------
After one month: 30 days, introduce one portion of carbohydrates a week for the next month only, like a piece of bread, a small amount of brown rice, etc.
NO cheese, etc.
You have to do something radical at first to cleanse the body of toxins and the desire to pig out.
Also, alcohol is gone, period, No drinking, period. No smoking, because it slows down the metabolism.
-------------
If you do not have time to exercise, try stretching a bit lying in the bad, and tightening stomach and butt muscles, Try lifting some books at a desk a few times, etc. It';s called at work exercises. try to vacuum, but the grass, etc.
Drink unsweetened soy milk with a little non alcoholic flavoring from a health food store. Add white stevia to sweeten..
Incidentally, you can have herbal treas.
Never breakfast cereals, or cereal bars. They are carbohydrates.
to sweeten anything. go to a health food store: buy pure white Stevia. It is a plant derivative, 200 times sweeter than sugar. It's all natural and is healthy for you. Use only a bit. NO honey., because it's a sugar.
Get Weight watchers recipes on line. Get diabetic recipes without flour and without sugar.
Also read the book Fit For Life about food combinations which make our bodies burn hotter after eating when combining certain foods, thus lowering our desire to eat. Only follow their suggestions after 6 months of very regulated dieting.
----------
During the theird month, have one carbohydrate every other day. NO cheese, still...possibly ever.. Have some mild after six months, but only the reduced fat kind, like 99.
During the 4th month, no more than 5 carbohydrates a week, and two must be complex ones, like peas, nuts, lentils, etc. The trick is to rid yourself of the stuff which makes body fat.
