there is a few different things you can try, the basic ones are reading before going to sleep, having a bath, taking a walk just to clear your head and de-stress. try and resolve any problems you have (any that can be resolved) before trying to go to sleep. Don't think to much about trying to sleep. I have bipolar so struggle with sleep on both ends when I am manic and when I am depressed. good luck

Well, there are a few things you can do here. You can try the old remedies for sleep, like drinking warm milk, taking a hot bath, and keeping a lavender scent in your bedroom. You can also try meditation, a simple clearing of the mind as you're lying in bed or right before. If all else fails, take Benadryl. Don't take Tylenol PM because you don't want to take Tylenol every night, as this will cause damage to your liver. And you really don't want to take something like Ativan or other prescription sleep aids, because it is very easy to become dependent on them. Benadryl will knock you right out and it is not addictive or harmful to you.

You weren't sexually molested were you? That can trigger sleep problems and fear of sleeping alone in kids. If that's the case then you'll need a lot of therapy and possibly medication. If nothing has happened to you and it's just plain fear you have, the good news is that you can overcome your fears by facing them. Don't watch scary movies before bed, and maybe a cup of sleepytime tea will help?

Well you can try to not take in that much caffeine, and possibly try a sleep aid like Tylenol PM. I didn't read your Blog so I don't have any idea what is on it I am just giving you this bit of a suggestion!

Have you ever heard of sleep hygiene? I have lousy sleep hygiene and pay a high price for it, but we're not talking about me. There are a lot of websites that talk about sleep hygiene, but I think the two I'm linking to here are really good. One offers information about sleep hygiene itself, and the other gives a screening test to see if sleep hygiene is where your problem lies.
