I've seen many times in answers Christians saying that atheists don't want to follow rules, feel guilty about doing whatever they want, engage in rampant sex (that one was implied).

Are atheists any more hedonistic than believers? When I lived in Italy, they had a fatalistic attitude, that whatever happened was God's will, so they just lived every day to the fullest. Is that hedonistic? (Carpe diem at worst.)

Is there a problem with atheist living for the now? I mean if there's no later... what would you expect them to do? I don't think that makes them people that engage in Roman orgies, drugs, etc.

well, yeah, if they don't believe in an afterlife, of course they would live life to the fullest.

I think it's because they can't fathom not believing in God.....so there must be a "sinful" reason why we as Atheist have chosen not to believe.

Just like we can't get our brain around believing in God....Christians can't understand why we don't.
