Do they politely turn down that carb filled wafer, or do they have low carb wafers for just such an occasion?

Stupid question. The carb content of a holy wafer is negligible wrt to a calory controlled diet.

I'm a Catholic. And when I'm on a diet, I do whatever I want. The Church does not dictate diets. The only time you need to give up something is for Lent. I always choose head cheese and liver. Those wafers are about like a rice cake. I doubt there are many carbs in those.

The wafer's calories and carbs are so infinitesimal it's not worth mentioning.

They do not do anything different than anyopne else. They still acept the body of Christ and do that even when fasting. But it was nice you tried to make us laugh today.
