This age old saying is somewhat cliched, but does hold true. The key is that even if you have loved and lost, you still possess the ability to love again. But to have never loved at all means that you never had a chance to experience the great upside.

I don't care what anyone says. NO! I've loved so many times, hell, I am in love now! But, if I could take it all back and never loved anyone and just be self-suficient a-sexual and not be attracted to anyone, it would have saved me a lot of pain and anguish. I would.

The unfortunate part about that, is that I wouldn't know as much as I do now without the experience in loving someone romantically.

Definitely! I can't imagine going through life never having that feeling or experiencing love. Yes love can be painful at times & I have had plenty of experience there, but the joy of loving far outweighs the pain from the bad experiences. You have to be willing to open yourself up to others to give & accept love, but it is well worth it!

Yeah it's better to have loved and lost. The healing sucks, but you tried. It's better then sitting on the fence and never experiencing this beautiful part of life.

YES!
Having the experience of being in love is the greatest of
all. Not having it reciprocated is a bummer, but you can
do it all over again once you get over your initial rejection.
Do keep on trying! There is someone for you.
You will have the experience of having being in love once
and you will have the knowledge of how to make it work
for you. Having love at your disposal, is all you need.

It depends on you, heartaches hurt real bad, like they'll never feel better but they do and you get stronger from them. But to have never felt a heartache really doesn't put you in a good place when someone just dumps you for the first time.
