I'm glad to hear your teacher wants you to learn about global warming as China is playing a very important role in how the climate change will develop.
China is now the biggest emitter of CO2 in the world. Not very strange at all though as you have 1/3 of the world population. U.S. is still emitting FAR more CO2 per person than the Chinese does. Still the Chinese will probably have more to loose in a shorter perspective than the Americans because of your limited resources of water and food supplies and hence it's VERY important that you start to do what you can to reduce the impact as soon as possible.
There are many good sites about climate change on line, you can do a search for "climate change" or "global warming". My recommendation though is that you visit IPCC's site http://www.ipcc.ch/ and look at the working groups reports about evidence, impacts and mitigations on climate change around the world.
If you want more specific information on what impacts global warming already has had in specific countries I can tell you that last winter in Sweden was the warmest on record. Heavy storms and rains has become more common lately. (Right now big areas in Sweden are suffering from flooding due to extremely rainy weather).
Of course you can never say from a few single occurrences this is because of climate change, but events like this is supposed to increase due to global warming and so far it follows the IPCC calculations (at least in Sweden).

Some gases ("greenhouse gases") let sunlight in, which warms the Earth, and then block that heat from leaving. That's the "greenhouse effect", and it's a natural thing, mostly caused by water vapor.
Man is making excessive amounts of greenhouse gases, mostly by burning fossil fuels. That causes the delicate natural balance to go out of whack and the Earth warms. That's global warming.
It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.
Most scientists say, in 20-50 years. But we need to start right now to fix it, fixing it will take even longer than that.
Lots of numerical scientific data proving it real here:

well, to help combat global warming around the world China has got to increase the regulation on realeasing so much pollution for their own peoples' health... and for the world we have to cut down our emissions alot. We have to start reducing, reusing, and recylcing. And of course if we could somehow start using Hydrogen as a fuel that would helpout alot since the U.S. is one of the top producers od CO2.

Global warming is problematic at best. The best thing the world can do about it is to clean up the environment and switch from oil to renewable resources. The rest will take care of itself.

ok i made one for you just copy this
I do not believe in global warming. People say it is going to flood the entire world but I say its not possible. Worst case in it is that it might rise 10 to 15 feet but coast lines are up to a hundred feet and the great lakes the coast line is 600 feet I think part of Florida will be flooded though. But I mean if this were happing wouldn’t Bush do an smart ideas like making a wall like the great wall of china or something. Its just weather pattern like remember global cooling.
well this is my opinion and it is pretty smart if anyone agrees...
