Atheist and peoples of other religions get angry at Christians for telling them about Jesus and claim that we are intollerant. Given the fact that our religion requires that we share the Gospel with everyone aren't they the ones being intollerant of Christianity?

Sorry Peter, but while you do have the right not to be assaulted you dont have the right not to hear something that you may disagree with.

carmandnee - It doesnt matter if you believe its fiction or not. We still have a mandate to preach it.

Diane - proclaiming the Gospel means proclaiming what it says and it does make it clear that without a belief in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior we would all be condemned to Hell.

acid burn - Jesus Christ never taught us to "kill the infidels." Im afraid you have us confused with Islam.

Nadine P - You would have every right to speak with me or anyone else about Judaism. You have that right (As a side note, it wouldnt do you a great deal of good because Im rather familiar with Judaism; having grown up in the synagogue. {I just so happen to be a Jewish Christian})

Nadine, you can say whatever you wish. The fact is that I am a Jew and I happen to believe in Jesus. Im sorry that you dont like that but its not going to change. My mother was a Jew and I was raised in the synagogue. Funny that you can tell me that Im no longer Jewish because I believe in Jesus but its just fine if one is an Atheist and still considers themselves a Jew.

Its just another example of the hypocrisy of atheist and liberals in general. Tolerance to the atheist and liberal means you must tolerate me but I don't have to tolerate you.

Do you actually believe that there are people in the U.S., for instance, who do not know about Jesus Christ? Everyone already knows and you are, I'm sorry to say, being arrogant about it when you say things like "...but while you do have the right not to be assaulted you dont have the right not to hear something that you may disagree with." I don't have the right not to hear something that I don't want to hear? So does that mean if I want to proselytize to you about Judaism, you HAVE to listen to me because "you don't have the right not to hear something that you may disagree with"? Another example of unclear and uncritical thinking.
Edit: I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you are not a Jewish Christian because there is no such thing. Jewish people do not believe in Christ as the Messiah because he did not fulfill all the prophecies. I've been a Jew for 60 years and I know you are a Christian. Be brave! Admit it!

no i don't mind as long as when i say 'shut up' the first time you do it, carry on i will get annoyed, look how would you like it if i proclaimed the gospel of the flying spaghetti monster at you> not saying its a good argument for atheism but its a good argument not to get on my nerves, i think if you preach it fine, but you should practice it to, you should be killing infidels, but that's just metaphorical right? like a lot of things Christians feel gives them bad PR, but they can be very selective over what is metaphorical and what is literal so you should if your going to preach from it, live it. also if you preach it, preach it all not just the parts that make you feel all warm and fuzzy in side im talking about the violence, misogyny for which you will probarly get a slap

The Great Challenge to Produce
One Chapter Like the Chapters
of the Holy Quran
God has said in the Quran:
And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed (the Quran) to Our worshiper (Muhammad ), then produce a chapter like it, and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides God if you are truthful. And if you do not do it, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones. It has been prepared for disbelievers. And give good news (O Muhammad) to those who believe and do good deeds, that for them are gardens (Paradise) in which rivers flow.... (Quran, 2:23-25)
Ever since the Quran was revealed, fourteen centuries ago, no one has been able to produce a single chapter like the chapters of the Quran in their beauty, eloquence, splendor, wise legislation, true information, true prophecy, and other perfect attributes. Also, note that the smallest chapter in the Quran (Chapter 108) is only ten words, yet no one has ever been able to meet this challenge, then or today.1 Some of the disbelieving Arabs who were enemies of the Prophet Muhammad tried to meet this challenge to prove that Muhammad was not a true prophet, but they failed to do so.2 This failure was despite the fact that the Quran was revealed in their own language and dialect and that the Arabs at the time of Muhammad were a very eloquent people who used to compose beautiful and excellent poetry, still read and appreciated today.
The smallest chapter in the Holy Quran (Chapter 108) is only ten words, yet no one has ever been able to meet the challenge to produce one chapter like the chapters of the Holy Quran.

I'm perfectly tolerant with Christianity, and those who follow it can do whatever the hell they want. I'll even participate, but not as a follower but more for a greater good. I just don't like it when people tell me I am going to hell for not believing in god, or that I'm damned for believing in what I want to.

What if my religion mandated punching everyone in the face? Could I call you intolerant of my beliefs if you didn't happily accept and tolerate getting your face smashed in?
I didn't think so. Although your proselytizing isn't violent, it's just as unwelcomed, unsolicited and despised as a guy running around punching people. I don't care what your little book says. Keep it to yourself unless someone goes out of their way to ask you about it.

You are taking your mandate from a book we atheists believe as an interesting work of fiction. Count us as "already having been preached to" and move on. We've heard your spiel and have had enough. Thank you.
