Many who have had health insurance their whole lives can't buy it at any price once they reach 55 years old. A friend of mine retired at 62 and was paying 2 thousand one hundred dollars a month for basic heath insurance. That was the only company he could get. Last month they returned his money and said they were dropping him! Keep in mind his taxes help pay for all the government workers' health insurance. They are about one third of the economy. How about military and medicare recipients? He helps pay for them too. Why does he have to go without? And now it looks like he has cancer and he won't leave his wife in the poor house, so he has decided to just let nature take its course.

I am not sure about other locations, but as far as the Memphis World Hub goes, Fedex employees have:
Cigna Health
Davis Vision
Metlife Dental

Depending on where you are located, FedEx has several options. In NJ they use Cigna and you can chose an HMO or the PPO (excellent coverage). Dental is Metlife and Vision is Davis Vision. (The dental is pretty good, the vision is lousy if you don't use their doctors but it's definately better than no coverage!)

I believe FedEx might offer a variety of choices depending on location and job position. If you are asking prior to taking a job with them,this is certainly a question they will answer for you.

I think it depends... Some FedExers I know have Cigna, some have United Healthcare, some have Aetna. I don't know if it's determined by your job - i.e. drivers - or if you pick.
