My oldest daughter is turning 12 this August and she is majorly girly! One of her favorite things to get as a present is a prepaid Visa giftcard. It looks like a credit card but really isn't and it makes her feel grown up. My mom gets them at our local mall. These giftcards are great because you can use them at any store that accepts Visa, if you don't know her favorites. All my daughter ever really wants is clothes anyway.

We also found a local salon that caters to kids (Lollilocks) and we have booked her party there. They are having a spa party with manicures, pedicures, and for the activity the girls are decorating their own flipflops. I keep reminding myself she is still just a kid and this is a great way to have an age appropriate party without making her feel like a little kid. There are also many adult salons that will "tone down" one of their pedicure packages for kids and most girly girls love to get their feet done! :) Good luck!

Clothes! My daughter just turned 12 in May and social status is coming into full swing. Plus at that age they are growing like watered weeds and their clothes quickly become too small, so keep'em stocked. Plus accessories...a girly girl must know how to properly accessorize...:-)

A spa....but those can be costly or shopping with friends and at night a girly sleepover where the theme is pink and they can watch romance and chick flicks and stay up all night gossiping and have a fashion show where they can all be models and dress up, etc
HAPPY BIRTHDAY

gift certificates to a mall are always good ideas. Or to her favorite stores. Get her a really pretty pair of earrings. If she doesn't have pierced ears maybe you can take her to get it done. I think it'd be fun if you took her to get a manicure. I don't have any children. But I work at a daycare. The manicure idea is different but I think it'd be fun for her.

Depends on your relationship with her, close family friend make up or something like that, friend a gift card to favorite clothing store or electronic store, depends on what you are looking to spend and the type of gift you are looking to get.
