I think it's primarily due to the new covenant and the tenets of the ancient Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic transcripts which became collectively known as the Holy Bible.

I'm fine with a separate Christianity forum but as long as you're calling it 'Religion and Spirituality' you have to take my spin on what I believe.

Thusly, my discussion is from a standpoint of Christianity ... however I am not opposed to a discussion comparative religions either but there is the element of immorality pervasive in this place which causes me to reveal my gospel armor.

I am equally versed in Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, Scientology, and other varying religious practices but always seem to gravitate back to my own Christian orientation.

I think that 9 out of 10 of them are ridiculous attacks on atheism. (Monkeys, bananas, Pascal's Wager...oh my!)

If you want diversity of thought, belief, and ritual then ask a question that's not about Christianity. It's at least a step in the right direction.

I think '9-out-of-10' is a bit of an overstatement...

A cursory review of the most recent questions posted would suggest that the ratio is more along the lines of...
... 4-out-of-10, --- a pretty humble stat, given the vast number of Christians in the world...

For the record: I'm agnostic.

I generally don't ask questions because there are a great number of askers. The are generally interested in christianity. I couldn't say why other than that the majority in this forum appear to be christians.

Well, the majority of Americans (82%) are Christians. The R & S sections for other countries mostly deal with their majority religions, too. I ask questions to the Christians because I don't understand them. I do enjoy learning about the other major religions.

Because that is the primary beliefs and struggle in westernized society.

So Im supposed to drop Christianity and embrace something wild and wacky so you can feel more comfortable with diversity?

Well we are a popular lot.
Christianity is discussed more then any other religion I think because it does say that those that don't believe will be punished. For that reason alone we are subject to a lot of attention both good and bad.
But you're right it would be nice to know more about other religions.

There is only One God. Your question is very valid from the point of ignorance of God's Love. Christianity is the last chance for human's to hang on to God's covenant of Love and Mercy before the Judgment and seek redemption.

Only if we ever read the following words very closely, without any prejudice or preconceived notions and gave it a moment of thought-

Christ is the Son of God. He is the Creator in Flesh. He is the Word of God, who created the Universe. In Him, is the truth. In Truth, we lose Anxiety and gain Confidence and Trust.

Its a bliss and a privilege to be granted the right to place your burdens however big and small in front of the Lord and Pray.

Cheers!
Happy 4th.

Christianity is the most well-known and familiar religion in the western world. We discuss what we know.

Sounds like it might stifle some yawns. I'm Baha'i and there are no rituals in the Baha'i Faith and no clergy either.
