I have a 2-fold question. Is it legal to purchase ww1 or ww11 Nazi, Japaneese memorabila online? the second part of my question is -are there any web sites, that offer info on how to find out if these items are indeed authentic relics, or fraud. Thanks so much ahead of time for any help.

Point 1. you can buy Nazi and Japanese memorabilia on line, there are many websites which are selling items.

Point 2. German III Reich items have been heavily faked, most fakes coming from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, etc..etc..

Point 3. Original Genuine III Reich items command very big prices.

Point 4, the supply of original items has slowed up over the last few years, so even some "reputable dealers" are saying fake items are original and even offer a guarantee.

Point 5. Time should be taken to build up a collection of relevant reference books on the items you are interested in.

Point 6. You can buy Nazi items out of Germany, France, etc..etc.. but you cant bring them in to Germany, France, Holland, etc..etc!! and there is no restriction on WW1 items.Ebay strictly control Nazi items for sale.

Point 7. Buy the piece not the story.

You should contact someone with the VFW that is short for veterans of foreign war and someone from there would best help you.
