Wow.
I only hope americans (especially George W. Bush) reads this. many countries are pefectly content w/o them riding in, destroying thier culture and land and forcing the american way of things on them. Like democracy. some places just dont work that way.

Secular countries are tolerant. Practicing tolerance is the only way to receive tolerance. Mutual tolerance inspires correction and righteousness. I concur with 1000 that a true secular country will not invade, capture and coerce their own culture on another nation.

I don't see that they are. Use the United States as an example. People were happier 50 years ago than now. Now it is more secular than then.

There is certainly a negative correlation between social indicators and religious adherence, but whether there is a causality there, and in which direction, it's hard to tell. One thing it does do is give the lie to the claim that a society has to be religious in order to be civilised, since the most civilised tend to be the least religious.

They aren't.

The US is the biggest secular country, whether our current (not forever) head of state is or not.
