First off, you're only 13 so you are still growing. Going up and down in weight is not healthy. Being 5 feet tall and weighing 87 pounds is perfectly normal and even on the smallish side. I would not be concerned about your weight (meaning being too big or small).
Many younger girls think they need to be real thin to be attractive. But the truth is, most guys like average sized girls. I know a lot of guys who find skinny girls to be a turn off.
Also, you should talk to someone (as school counselor or a family therapist) about this. You may be showing signs of anorexia and you don't even know it.

You'd rather be too skinny rather than healthy? You may have an eating disorder and should get help. I had a friend die in high school from anorexia and another who will never have children from her eating disorder. She got cancer when she was 26 and had to have a hysterectomy and went through menopause at that young age. You really need to think about what this will do to you in the future. You will age prematurely and you'll have dental problems and that's the easy stuff...IT'S NOT WORTH IT! Eat low fat, healthy food like fruit and veggies, whole grains, fat free dairy, lean protien. Your body needs nourishment. Talk to your mom honey, so you can get some help if you feel out of control. There are many girls with this same problem. There are too many girls, literally, DYING to be thin.

I know if my daughter was ever that skinny I would take her to the doctor and find out what is wrong and she is not gaining any weight. Cause this is not healthy. People have been known to die when their bodies are not getting enough food.
Who are you trying to empress. Boys like girls with meat on them, not where all they see is bones sticking out.
What is wrong here, is you need help and not just from Mother.
Start eating kid, life is too short as it is..When my daughter was 13 / 5" 1' / she weight in at 110 and she was healthy and had a boyfriend, who adored her.

Never even think about losing weight until you're much, much older, it can stunt your growth and you're propbably meant to grow up much taller than you are now. Eat as much as you want, you're still growing and don't have to worry about weight. I'm not sure if you mean 5 feet and 1.2 inch or 5 feet and 6 inches (1/2 a foot), either way I do know for 5 feet and above, weight should be at least 90 pounds. Hope this helps :)

You are in the normal range. However I think you might should consider discussing this with a therapist to see if your self esteem and obsession with weight at such a young age might evolve into anorexia.
Up to 119 at your age and weight is normal. Just so you know, the 78 that you were at before is underweight.
Continue being health conscious and eating lots of healthy things. Ideally eatting every 2-3 hours. It will help you remain skinny your whole life.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

You need to be gaining weight, not losing it; you should get up to a hundred pounds or so. But at age 13, there is no hurry; you will naturally add some weight as you get into your teens.

Because I care about you, let me put it to you straight, skinny is NOT attractive, I would not have sex with Paris or most of the celebs out there if you paid me, skinny girls look like diseased invested junkies. Kelly Rippa used to be sexy, now she looks like a poodle on crack. Have a bowl of ravioli with a side dish of lasagna and a whole chocolate cake, you should weigh 120 pounds and if anyone makes fun of you tell them to F-CK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

you sound just like my BFF, she's like the exact same thing. She tells me she just has a high motabalism (i have no idea how to spell that) but she's not anerexic because I've seen her eat. Just stay with healthy foods and eat some junk food from time to time to be (normal) weight which at your age should be in 100's-110's
