Not a chance. Just as Christianity developed difference factions over the years (Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland for instance), there are factions in Islam. Shiite and Sunni for example.
As long as people are different, in views, appearance and belief sets, there will be terrorism.

Of course not. Humans have always found an excuse to bring terror and misery on others. If the whole world were one religion; it doesn't matter if it is Islam, Judaism, Hindu or Christianity there will be folks that would find something wrong with other folks, lump them into a group and make their lives miserable.
Just because there may be one faith doesn't exclude the possibility of adherence by all those involved. But adherence to a certain faith and living the tenets of faith, justice and love gives a choice of weapons to minimize the terror.

Actually Islam is divided. Fighting and killing in that area of the world has continued since time began. There are at least three factions of Islam fighting for ultimate power over the other. Christ Jesus tells us: "A kingdom which is divided, cannot stand". Throughout history, countries and religious empires who become large and strong all eventually implode and cause their own destruction. It is human nature, greed and hate will ultimately cause destruction. This applies to ALL humanity, not any specific group or culture in particular.
Once these organizations de-value human life, there destruction will be swift and complete.
God Bless You....Peace.

Which sect of Islam? If everyone who converted was a sunni then there would be infighting between the sunnis and shias and vice versa.
If everyone was the same sect there would be fighting between extremists and moderates, conservatives and liberals.
In order to stop the fighting everyone would have to 1) convert to Islam 2) be happy with this conversion (and not resent it and remain Christian/Jewish/whatever really) 3) convert to the same sect - that of wahabism 4) believe in EXTREME conservative wahabism, i.e. women are property, democracy is ungodly etc.
And then of course we'd have to ignore all the other causes of wars, like oil.

Interesting question. However I do not think that a world totally filled with Muslims would be the answer to war and terrorism. War and terrorism are things from "man" and all through history man has made war and committed terrorist acts for the purpose of wealth and power - mainly power. It is an unfortunate trait in humans.
However I would like to see a world population that was 100% Muslim as the belief in and acceptance of One God (Allah) is the staightest path to be on.
This is my opinion.

Religion is often used as an excuse for war and terrorism. The media also portrays certain groups to be religious extremists...
Shame on the media... Shame on man...

No. Muslim terrorists terrorize other muslims more than they terrorize other people. Just look at who is really killing who in Iraq and Gaza. It is muslims killing muslims and blaming others for what muslims do to each other just like they have been doing since muhammad started it.

Everyone in Afghanistan was Muslim under the Taliban. It didn't stop men being beaten for shaving their beards or women being stoned for not wearing a veil.
Muslims still fight and kill other Muslims in Iraq.
Extremism and intolerance aren't defeated by doing what your enemies want

No - inter Islamic sect terrorism would continue. Radical muslims would want to destroy all western culture and install Shariah law world-wide.
Taliban-style governments globally? I don't think so.

In the name of Allah , most gracious most merciful
I think that will be right but only all Muslims them selves return to real Islam like that in time of prophet Mohamed & his followers
we cant judge islam by his people know like we cant judge christians also (most of them aren't real Christians &so Muslims) we cant take Taliban as the only example although they live quite in peace in Afghanistan until u.s.a interferes with their life.
although i think Islam is the most real religion but humans never stop wars either they are Muslims , Christian or even Budiasm.
peace upon all of you
