Yup, find your own meat to chew on! He is your ex for a reason?Right? You must've broke up with him because of something you didn't like...hey? so why go back to him then?
You are right, you will only tear them apart and the only reason why he is telling you that he will dump his girlfriend is because he wants a back up plan for when things does not work between him and the new girl.

You deserve better than that. so don't go back there again.
He is only gonna break your heart again

You need to think why you split up in the first place, if you finished him was it because of something he did/said etc - would things be the same again.
If it was him who ended the relationship do you know why??

if he isn't happy with his new girlfriend maybe he could finish her anyway plus this would show his committment to making it work with you - then you could but take things slowly and see what develops.

i always said i would never return to any of my ex's but got back with an old flame last year and life is bliss. we've both grown up and get on better than before now

You need to wait on the sidelines. Why did you break up in the first place? Did he dump you so he could be with her? If so, forget him because this will happen over and over again. Go find a boyfriend that will love and respect you. One that you can have fun with and a real relationship. You deserve it.

try to feel your heart. you know him well by heart.whatever reason that caused your break-up, it could be a ground for your decision whether to accept him for the second time or not. weigh things carefully.if he deserves to be given a chance, why not give it to him?just try to see the advantage and disadvantage of whatever decision you'll be making.. personally, i sometimes believe in "love is sweeter the second time around." so, good luck.. i hope this will help..

If he is serious, he better dump her new girlfriend first because obviously he doesnt love her, then you can take it from there and see if you can make it tick again.

Why go back? If you werent getting what you wanted before what makes you think you can get what you want now? After all you did break it off.

it is not hard to know if you love someone. if you really love him, which i would not say according your letter, then be with him and stop thinking of the girl.
Dear, if you really loved him, you would not ask this question. you would be with him.
