Eventually we will all die, the human race as we know it, will die. It's only of question of how and when. Most likely it will not be a person pushing a button but a series of unfortunate incidents that lead up to the final end.

I don't know about Mankind becoming extinct, by its own hand or otherwise, but I do know a few things for certain.

One is that I'm going to die someday anyway.

Another is that if I focus too much on whether or not the entire race goes at once, I'm going to lose sight of the value my own life has in the meantime.

India and China each have over a billion inhabitants and despite wars, famine and disease all of the African nations have huge birth to death ratios. So when they run out of food and space where are they going to live and eat?
