Those who have avidly read the New Testament know exactly what i am saying here. I won't give quotes from the Bible but everything I say here is in there...read it for yourself.
We are in what the Bible describes as the 'End Times'....with earthquakes in divers places....floods...wars and rumours of wars...pestilence ..........children disrespecting parents...in ways worse than they have ever been. I noticed that many people who trash Christianity do it in childish and uneducated ways through total lack of understanding....perhaps before answering such questions it would be better if you armed yourself with real knowledge of what the Bible actually says...not what you think it says or what you believe without knowing.
Jesus is coming back and the signs are that He will be returning soon. No-one knows when as he says himself...."I will come like a thief in the night".....when people are least expecting it and He will...are you ready?
Best wishes, Mike.

EARTHLING..At no time did I say that atheists aren't educated...or any of the other people who post here...what I implied was that many people(not just atheists although some may be prone to paranoia) make comments about Christianity without any real knowledge of the Bible of the real Christian belief.

Tony P...it's Gods compassion you want to seek..not that of Christians. We tell you things as they are..you do what you will.

Have you read about the 'end times' in the old testament as well?
There is a lot of different interpretations on what is supposed to happen and such...
For example, people are waiting for persecution to start against the saints of the Most High by the harlot (catholic church), but this is already happening... Where are people being beheaded and killed for their faith? Doesnt Islam ring a bell? or did it not cross your mind?
Broad is the road and many go there, so, what is the obvious is not necessarily the right avenue... What 'prophecies' have been taught and appear to align with scriptures JUST MIGHT NOT be the proper interpretation.
Many people died on the cross in the 1st century, what makes it different that the Lamb of God was also died the same way?
So, many people are being killed and beheaded for their faith and beliefs in the islamic countries, waht makes it different that the saints of the Most High are also being killed for their testimony?
Then, is not the Most High allowing the devil to use Islam as a tool for persecution to purge the saints of the Most High?
Why worry, those that overcome loved not their lives unto the end.....
The 'end times' is but another revelation from these days to the millenial period of history. When it is truly over is when the 1st earth and heavens are passed away... that will not happen until after the millenium, which is not what is happening presently.

Finally... a Question I can connect with!...
Now personally I don't think the world will end in the way the Bible says it will... This is an old book remember, and things have changed!
But through my work I get to see some pretty awful stuff, I get to see how things have changed over the years for the worse... But also for the better... We have remeber that there are always two sides to the coin and where there is evil in the world there is good too...
You are right that many will put these views of yours down main due to a lack of understanding and sometimes fear (I would have more respect for a person who said they didn't know much on the subject, rather than throw idle insults)
Good Q! Star!

You can have 10 people reading the same book and get 10 completely different opinions on it. One thing is clear, we ARE facing an 'end of times', in that we are entering an uncertain period, and it will mark the 'end' of this system of things.
We have three main problems, Climate Change, Oil Depletion and Economic Meltdown. All of these things will change all of our lives in profound and unpredictable ways. I believe that God will not allow us to destroy His planet, He will come to us before we totally destroy ourselves and say, 'O.K., I let you have a go at running things and you've failed. I'm running the show from now on.' He will 'bring to ruin those ruining the earth', as it says in Revelation. And we will once again live in Paradise.

Someone mentioned Noah's ark.
The story of Noah's ark is just a rehashing of a very old story called the Babylonian Flood Tablet, which originated in Iraq.
These stories get recycled over and over in different cultures, and are given different frameworks, attributed to different Gods. All of the old stories have a common thread of humanity that people throughout the ages can relate to - they are myths and legends, perhaps drawn from a kernel of incredibly ancient truth.
I think thats the sort of thing people should find fascinating - the endurance of man, and the common experiences of humanity - instead of panicking about some 'end time' trip that is completely nonsensical.

The geological evidence reveals eras of worse floods and earthquakes than we are currently experiencing. In fact the Earth has been rather quiescent the last 650,000 years.
Pestilence, nothing now like the bubonic plague 800 years ago.
War? Nothing now like the world wars of the last century.
Religious extremism and ignorance borne by religious belief? Some would say it is worse today than ever, but a study of history reveals that religious nuts have been proclaiming the end is near for over 2000 years.

As the bible says, just like in the days of Noah, people were going about their buisness, total clueless to what was about to happen to them.
At some point (very soon) true believers will leave this God-foresaken land. Then the sh*t will hit the fan. Fortunately for some, they will then see the light and probably die as martyrs. But most of the world will flip God off in anger for His judgements to come.
When will people wake up?

I don't know when the end times will come...and no one else does either but regardless, there is no point in our worrying about it. If you are already living in the presence of God, one day is the same as the next. For those who do not yet know God, it seems strange to me that they would suddenly become a believer out of fear of having the end times come without them being saved. I question the validity of any "saving" belief if it is based on fear. God does not want us to be afraid...but to love Him and walk with him daily. For myself, even if there were no afterlife, just being able to walk with God today is more than enough. He has blessed me greatly and it would be hard to comprehend anything more than what he has already given. His constant presence in my life, his guidance, his comforting...

LMAO, Best Wishes!!!!!!!!! Ugh, anyway I am assuming that a high IQ is not something you contend with. However, let's take a little tour of history, shall we? Wars, floods, plagues, and the death of children do not equate the end of the world. All these have occurred throughout humanity's existence, nothing new under the sun.
