Whether you agree or disagree with the war, the men and women of our armed forces are making sacrifices most could never imagine, and they don't do it for the pay, they do it for the love of this country. God bless our troops and keep them safe!

Yes, I paused for the cause already. This war has been going on for a few years now, and will continue for some time ...the way things are looking. Supporting the soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and coasties should be ongoing as well. Whether it's with physical actions or prayers, support should be a daily thing. At the minimum, adding a few words to prayers won't make or break our day, but supports them. It may even mean more of them coming home to their families.

I have been in the Navy for 18 years, completed 3 deployments to the 'sandbox', and have only met a good handful of people that joined "for the love of this country". This reason definitely made the top 5 list, but not the number 1 reason for most....including myself. I have even met a few that joined because of the movie 'Top Gun'. Everyone within ear shot of that statement laughed tears. Hollywood should get a finders fee from the DoD. Education, training/opportunity, travel, and family tradition are reasons I have heard the most.

Enjoy your holiday, and God bless all of our military personnel 'standing the watch', preparing to stand the watch, and who have stood the watch.

each male cousin I unquestionably have, and an excellent sort of of the female ones, have served in some branch of the protection tension. Many nonetheless are. each uncle, and one grandfather. the different one tried, yet replaced into rejected through fact of his undesirable coronary heart (by the way a similar reason i won't be in a position to serve). you would be hardpressed to discover somebody who does not help the troops. of direction you will discover an fool right here or there, yet maximum all and sundry helps the troops. yet there's a distinction between helping the troops and helping a conflict they have been given sent to that has no foundation in good judgment. in certainty, i might say it fairly helps the troops greater on account which you opt for for them to stay; and that in the event that they might desire to die, it fairly is for the reason they needed to in demise to unquestionably shelter this united states. there's a distinction between helping the troops and helping a bad decision that sent them to the incorrect place. I very plenty help the troops, and their professionalism and actual and psychological power is fairly one among the few motives this united states continues to be going. They did the interest suitable, and proceed to attain this. Bush replaced into the guy who sent them to the incorrect interest. we've found out to tell the distinction between the guy who made the undesirable decision, and people who would desire to handle the aftermath of that decision. Marines, military, Air tension, army, and as long as we are on it, Coast shelter, national shelter, Air national shelter, Border Patrol, and our very own police, EMTs, and firefighters threat their lives to guard us regularly occurring. they're to be cautioned, and that i gain this each time i'm able to.

I last night while watching the fireworks with my little girl for the first time, watched her eyes light up with joy, she was speechless and had a permagrin on her face.. I at that moment started crying and praying for my husband and all the others oversea. I wanted to pray for them to come home and there safety..I prayed for no more death there, I can not see a family losing one they love or a child like mine losing one of there parents.. I spent most the night last night crying while thinking about all the parents overseas that are missing there child's firsts...I am not only thankful and I do not only pray on "Special Holidays".. I pray anytime and every time I get a chance, and that is alot..

Lord, thank you for taking care of my husband and the other soldiers during this awful war and thank you for carrying us through this. I know that if you were not carrying us, we would only stumble. Please bring my husband home to me safely, I do need him Lord. I understand I am partial Lord but I am allowed to be..
In your precious name I pray. A-men

You know the 4th of July is not the day to thank those gave us the right to call ourselves americans and free. Memorial Day is that special day. I served 28 years in the Army and my two sons are now serving in the Air Force. In Memorial Day we have a tradition to say thanks you to those that fought and died for America. We, as a family, go to Washington, DC and watch the parade of soldiers and personally shake their hands and then we go visit, not one but all the monuments dedicated to wars. This year was a special treat because we did with my grandsons and because of the new monuments for WWII, the Marine Memorial, the Air Force Memorial and the Korean War, and also because my sons came from Germany just for that. Thanks to all that served.

I do it every day.
They ( not politicians ) are our best and finest, they offer up their bodies and lives for all of us.
They know what it is all about, there are people in the world who would love to conquer and inslave us.

No Myles, they haven't and most probably won't. They are using the holiday as another day off and to have a party.

But I do agree with you.

I pray for them every day. I pray for the more than 3,500 men and women that have died in this war.
I pray that someone , be it George Bush, the U.S. Congress, the American people, or God himself does something to end this senseless slaughter off our people.
I pray for the thousands of Iraqians that have died.
I pray for all nations to make war a thing of our troubled past.
I pray for all people who have lost brothers, sisters, fathers, sons and daughters to the senseless shootings and bombings.
I pray for all of those that have given their lives believing it is what their religion asks of them, and for their leaders that believe it is their only answer.
