I have a heart condition, which could lead to a sudden heart attack at anytime. Some days are way worse than others. My husband is a trucker and is only home on the weekends. We call each other frequently but if he cals a lot and gets no answer he just assumes I'm resting. I have taught my daughter what to do if mommy doesn't wake up, but she is autistic and it caused her a lot of problems. She stopped eating sleeping has tummy aches ect, from worry. I honestly don't think she'd call 911 if something happened and my son is only 21 mo old. What more can I do to prepare them, so that if I craok they aren't alone in a house w/ a corpse for a week? That would seriuosly mess them up.

WOW great suggestion! Thanks! I never would have thought about one of those things. I guess I just think of them as being for the elderly. That's such a great Idea. I will look into it. Thanks!

I would get one of those emergency alert systems. They are about $15 a month and could save your life, and your kids. They usually are a necklace that you wear and in an emergency, you push the button. The company would know your medical history and immediately call 911 and direct them to your house. They could also let the police know that there are two small children there that will need care, and call your husband. I have seen commercials for them and did a quick search and a few companies come up. I would search for emergency response. I put the first few companies I saw on a yahoo search. Good luck.

I think you need a system that does not involve your children, that is an awful lot of responsibility for any child & baby.
Have someone outside of the house on a routine of having to call you or stop by every two days, and as stated by others here, look into medical alerts. What about a live "nanny cam" your husband can look in on you anytime via the internet.

Perhaps your should invest in the Medic Alert bracelet (you know--the I've Fallen and I Can't Get UP! lady)
If your condition is as bad as it seems, your insurance might even cover it.
This way you can tell your daughter not to worry about you anymore, and she can concentrateof her own problems.

Is there a neighbor they can go to? Do you have one of Life Alerts advertised on television?
