It's a touching poem huney. even if you do or dont believe in abortions everyone has there view . but there are also many reasons why some women have to have one. i think they should just make the time limit lower on when it is acceptable to have an abortion if you get what i mean! sorry im tired and cant think of the word i want to use!!!!!!

omg! that is so sad! thanks for putting it on here, oh, and i have a poem that i can put on here to, i swear it made me cry the first time i read it!
My Name is Sarah
My name is Sarah
I am but three
My eyes are swollen
I cannot see,
I must be stupid
I must be bad,
What else could have made
my daddy so mad?
I wish I were better,
I wish I weren't ugly,
Then maybe my mommy
Would still want to hug me.
I can't speak at all
I can't do a wrong
Or else I'm locked up
All the day long.
When I awake
I'm all alone
The house is dark
My folks aren't home
When my mommy does come
I'll try and be nice,
So maybe I'll just get
one whipping tonight
Don't make a sound!
I just heard a car
My daddy is back
From Charlie's bar
I hear him curse
My name he calls
I press myself
Against the wall
I try and hide
from his evil eyes
I'm so afraid now
I'm starting to cry
He finds me weeping
He shouts ugly words,
He says it's my fault
That he suffers at work.
He slaps me and hits me
And yells at me more,
I finally get free
And run for the door
He's already locked it
And I start to bawl
He takes me and throws me
Against the hard wall
I fall to the floor
with my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues
With more bad words spoken.
"I'm sorry!" I scream
But its now much to late
His face been twisted
into unimaginable hate
The hurt and the pain
Again and again
Oh please god,have mercy!
Oh please let it end!
And he finally stops
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless
Sprawled on the floor
My name is Sarah
And I am but three,
Tonight my daddy
murdered me

Very touching but weather you have an opinion on abortion or not its a free world and everybody has the right to make the own decision. abortion is a hard desision to make anyway so keep your poems to yourself.
i hope one day you are not in the position to make a decision about abortion , cause if the shoe was on the other foot them it would be different , tell me if you was rapped by your father or anybody from your family and get preganant would you keep the child , I THINK NOT.

That is the most sickly, saccharine piece of crap I've ever read in my life. And yes, of course a one-month foetus can appreciate beauty...to the poster of this: you may not agree with this crap, but there are gullible people on here and you have a responsibility. This was created to make women who made the right decision for them and their potential child feel bad.

This is anti choice propaganda, not a question.
An abortion is a CHOICE and every woman's right if she wants to do so. Do you really want to drag us kicking and screaming back to the days of coat hangers and soap filled syringes?

In my opinion the only thing more wrong than abortion is forcing a woman to carry through with a pregnancy against her will.
Both options are evil. It just depends on which you think is worse.

yeah thanks a lot,
I found out my much loved and wanted second child had a major heart defect at six months, that was incurable and incompatible with life. At the time I was very very sick, and every day my pregnancy progressed raised my chances of dying.
So there was my dilemma, terminate a pregnancy with a child that could not be saved even if he was born full term (which he wouldn't have been due to my illness) so that I could still be there for my existing child OR go on with a pregnancy that was doomed to fail and give birth to a child that had no chance of survival but with every extra day I stayed pregnant would be more mature and therefore suffer more.
So I terminated. I laboured all day, my labour was difficult to progress because in reality I DIDN'T want to give birth to my son, I would have preferred to stay pregnant forever, if it just would keep him alive. But that wasn't going to happen.
Eventually I gave birth to a beautiful little boy, who lived for two hours before dying peacefully in my arms. Throughout this whole time, I could not stop crying.
I grieve for him EVERY DAMN DAY. Eight years of constant grief. Eight years of having little things remind me of him, and set me off again. Eight years of having to put up with sh|t like this, aimed at my choice. I did it to give my son peace, to allow him to pass with dignity, to die quickly and relatively painlessly while he was still so immature that he wouldn't suffer as much as if he was older.
To insinuate that I didn't want him or love him, or that I wouldn't gladly give my own life to bring him back is just sick.
You don't think I feel bad enough as it is that my body failed him, that I couldn't keep him alive? Well thank you very much for making me feel worse. That bit in the poem about him crying with me even though I don't hear him? Kills me. Just kills me. Thanks.

Not many people look at it from the babies point of view, this is such an excellent way of doing just that. I do not believe in abortion under any circumstances. Abortion is murder any way you look at it. Ice Queen is right on!
