which beach is this - uk?

this beach picture was taken in the uk? Does anyone know this beach or any good resource I could use. Taken in the 20s-40s.

Not much help, but that looks more like the 50's or possibly the early 60's

Its very hard to say! Can you zoom on the sign on the building behind - that may give you some clues?

Its no Brighton Beach as that is stone as are a few beaches on the south coast.

Sorry I cant be any more help!
