Some dogs travel well and others don't. It really has nothing to do with the breed of the dog just as some people get sea sick or sick flying and some don't. I would suggest that you always travel prepared with a roll of paper towels a couple of garbage bags just incase your pups don't ride well.
We have 6 Danes and all of them love to ride.
When traveling with an adult Great Dane you need to plan ahead if you get a hotel. Some allow pets up to a certain height or weight and some don't allow pets at all.
My biggest suggestion for you is to only get ONE pup at a time and space getting your second one by at least 8 to 10 months. Great Dane pups require a lot of attention and training and 2 pups the same age can turn out to be a disaster if you are not prepared to give them proper training and socialization. They will wrestle with each other to the point it might drive you nuts. They are far less likely to listen to you when theyhave a littermate or a buddy the same age.
I never place 2 pups at the same time. Breeders who do that usually end up getting one or both back due to behavior problems and ill prepared owners. Puppies are all cute and I can see how it is easy to 'think' getting 2 at the same time is a good idea... but mark my words.. it's a bad idea unless you have a ton of time, money, patience and help with pro trainers. Think it through very carefully and don't impulse buy pets. Good Luck!

Most Great Danes love to travel. They are usually very good travel companions. Mine go with me often.
They don't need to "stop" any more often then any other breed/mix/size of dog. I have a Ford Explorer and one sits way in back and one on the middle seat..sometimes they both get in the back..they will ride for hours.
They go camping with us, on day trips, etc....no problems.

Also pay good attention to Freedom..she offers excellent, excellent advice.

obviously they are very large so therefore you'll need a big car. You''ll have to make regular stops to let them stretch their legs. They don;t need alot of grooming, so that side of things is good. it would be easier with smaller dogs, but if you love great danes good luck and happy travelling

yes I take my sisters 3 with me often but for long trips because of there lin gegs you should stop and let them stretch.
And don't make the mistake I did nad let them as pups set on your lap yes they are cutre as pups but then they think that when they are over 100 pounds they can stioll set in your lap.
