Only had the s13 180sx
If its like other Skylines including the sx which i have had.
They love the cold air engines run well, but hate the damp weather ie first thing in the morning when its damp. And my old sx used to take a while to warm up.
Also being rear wheel drive it was side ways fun on bends and burnouts on air at the lights on the ice.
But all these problems can be overcome.ie by being aware of the car and taking time on corners, spray car elecric spray on connections to stop the damp coming in ever few weeks.
But i have spun out and had most of these problems in other fwd cars etc.
But i think you will be fine its just a matter of being aware of situations.
And its a Nissan great cars i started with one years ago and now on my 4th.

I'm not sure about the 240sx specifically but the fact that it's a rwd will make it very difficult to drive on snow. I own a lexus sc400 and drove it one winter, not bad other that the fact that i ruined the front bumper, so that's something you have to consider. And because it is rwd it is very easy to loose control in ice and snow. I live in ontario and also have been looking at 240's so if you want one i'd say go for it, even though it will be a little bit of an adventure in the winter lol.

I Just drove my s13 hatch ('92 se with Hicas) in the snow this winter... Can I say It was the most fun ever! I loved it, My base model 240 coupe did well also, neither had snow tires, Chances are you will spin out once or twice, then figure out how to control it. Pick up the Drift bible video to give you some basic pointers on controlling power slides (the same as kicking your back end out in snow, or Drifting) This video helped me out alot in my truck, which sucks in the snow... way worse than a 240....

S-13 and newer style S-14 are a hand full on ice and snow. You will be quite tense after sliding side ways or spining out a couple of times. Not like long american station wagon rear wheel drive these short wheel base cars get out of shape much faster. Be carefull driving your new 240sx on slick surfaces. Larged unplowed parking lots can be even more fun with rear wheel drive"Drift like a pro" and not smoke the tires.

Yes, well worth the $$$. Add some weight over your rear wheels to help with traction.

the rear end kicks out easily but it is very "catchable"sort of like the last of the rwd corrolla's w/ the 16v engine only w/ more power, not like v8 mustangs who become one w/ the trees. nuff said.
