I went on a date with a guy. He told me he got divorced two years ago. He doesnt wear any jewelry, only a ring on his right hand, on his little finger, does this mean something?

thank you Brit Plod for your answer.

Yes, he is a barrister ( a lawyer) and is a bit posh, so that may be the reason, I personally think it looks stupid!

It doesn't mean anything, he just likes wearing a ring.

It means nothing, i think its called a signet ring, in times past when people used to seal there letters with a drop of wax the signet ring usually carried a family crest which was stamped into the wax.

People obviously don't do this now days but it could be a family ring that was handed down to him.

It's usually connected to a family ring, or coat of arms... Prince Charles wears his family ring on his little finger... It's seen as a very upper class pratise I think

Rich people often wear little rings on their finger with their coat of arms on them. I personally think men look daft with a ring on their little finger.

It definitely means that he's posh. But personally (and all of my mates as well), I think it just looks ridiculous. Walk down Kings Rd in Chelsea and they're all wearing them. And chinos. And loafers. And shooting jackets. And they're called Tarquin. And they went to Eton.

Not at all, only to confirm that he divorced and may never be able to get another woman like the last one he could not keep.

a friend of mine was gifted a ring and instead of going thru the hassle of increasing the size he just decided to wear it on his little finger. i guess thats the most logical explanation
