Should the british army emalgimate their regiments under one cap badge?"?

I'm doing research into the above question and would like to have some views, facts and opinions on what to reccomend?

No its the tradition that the badges represent that causes one to have pride in their particular units, most regiments have ties to specific areas of the country and have had so for over 200 years.

They shouldn't amalgamate them either.
