To Summer:
First off, dear, the only opinion that should matter is yours. Don't seek others opinions or approval, it has nothing to do with them. The flow of the tattoo you want sounds like it should look very good, just make sure that stars are something that are meaningful to you, maybe personalize them. I say that only because you asked an opinion, and I’m a tattooed tattoo artist, soooo… yes. I still firmly believe that you should only do what YOU want!
Ugh, all the hatefulness. Here’s what I think, same responses all around.
My thoughts on girls with tattoos:
It shouldn’t be looked at any different than if a guy is getting a tattoo, agreed. First of all, gender and age (excluding minors), sexuality, profession, and race do not matter when it comes to tattoos. Tattoos are for everyone. They're not just for guys, and the misconception that only miscreants, sailors, and whores have them is a boldfaced lie when you take a real look at it. You may follow the tired old beliefs, but look at tattooed people, not just the ones that do it for fads or fashion. Many people have tattoos, many that you wouldn't expect. I know of several businessmen and women, lawyers, dentists, doctors and nurses have most of their body under their suits/clothes tattooed, and they're not the brand of terrible people that society says only tattooed people would be. Some people say that only someone evil or without morals could get a tattoo. I know pastors that are tattooed; there are movie stars, musicians, models, government officials and police officers.
Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and nieces, that’s who these people are. Humans just like you. They are just people, and they chose to decorate their body, that is the difference. You should respect his or her freedom of expression, which you have but seem not to let anyone else. You all ask "why?" We like it. The people who get tattooed, who get them for good reasons, to complete themselves, some even connect spiritually when they get tattooed. It can be much more deeper than the shallow reason of being cool...etc... I am not one who does it for shallow reason, so I cannot speak for them.
There is beauty in body art.

The aesthetics of them aid in complimenting the body. They accentuate the features if done correctly, and if the quality in art is high, and is placed creatively it enhances the skin and flows with the form. The female body is like a work of art to start with, and beautiful and insightful imagery to her soul to play up their pretty features.
Ignorance claims the belief that tattoos are not/cannot give a feminine look or be feminine. I have seen thousands of women with beautiful tattoos that compliment their feminine personality.
As many women can express their non-feminine personalities with clothes or hair, or refusal to appear too 'girly', women have that choice with tattoos as well.
Women can brandish tattoos that aren't feminine, this isn't the 1800's, women can be masculine, or at least refuse to be feminine. So, who's to say that their tattoos 'not looking very feminine' is a bad thing? If that's what they want, and they're happy, then it should be fine.
People worry about what everyone else is doing, how they dress, how they appear, what they do with their personal lives. If I condemned you for drinking, just because I don't, I would be out of place, just as you all are by saying what you do, at least be constructive with your insight. "It's gross" make you look ignorant and uneducated.
‘Don’t ruin you’re skin”…etc. Weeeelll, okay, maybe it’s not considered as “ruining”, but improving, decorating, or maybe they think it’s plain pretty. Who are you to tell them their skin is ugly. See, I personally do not tan, and don’t like seeing the prematurely aged skin of people who constantly tan. What If I condemned you for that!? Good tattoos decorate your skin, but do not harm them. A Good tan gives you darker, yes, but rougher skin. You age so much faster. So yes, my tattoo will still be visible as I age. Yeah, my skin will age and wrinkle, but when I’m thirty, I won’t look in my late forties. So ‘trashy’ tanner people that condemn and look down on tattooed people. We’ll be happy and proud of our younger skin, while you’re either looking incredibly and wondering where your “beautiful skin that god gave you” went, or getting plastic surgery so you won’t look like a cretin. Have fun with that.
The aging thing, it's the people's choice; it's made clear that tattoos are permanent. Many of you don't realize that tattoos are not for your enjoyment, but for their own personal reasons. If you don’t like it, don’t look. Who are you to think that because you’re not tattooed that you have anything attractive about your appearance in the first place? Yeah, the way you might dress might make someone think you’re a junkie, drug dealer, uptight prick, or a spoiled rich kid…etc, ect.. Don’t think like that, no one likes it. Believe me, many have proved to be trashy without any tattoo on you.
Anyway, most wise/serious tattoo collectors get tattoos with good designs, tattoos that complement the body's natural form, and most importantly, tattoos that mean something. Many of you misunderstand. Many people's tattoos can map out a person's life, the things they love/d, the things they have and things they lost. People commemorate their children, their accomplishments, their lives with the person their love, the people they've lost, their freedom, their beliefs, their reasons for living, and any obstacle they've overcome...etc. Each tattoo is a piece of that person represented in an art form. These people are not ashamed of themselves, or their meaningful tattoos, why would you be ashamed of being proud of yourself. By doing this, they prove to be much strong, and visibly show it. These people got these tattoos for profound reasons, reasons that they are willing to bare for the rest of their lives, it may not be your choice, but it's theirs, and you should respect that.
Here's an example of a pretty, feminine and incredibly meaningful tattoo, here's her words on it.
“This symbolizes our bunny Puffy who is our little baby. Other people get their kids portraits tattooed on their body, and well, I got my bunny tattooed on me because I like the fact that in this way she will always be with me, even in the distant future when she isn’t here physically anymore.”

Also, take a look at this woman's wings. The art is beautiful, it has impeccable detail and skill in it, and has a great area, but has a feminine look and it flows with her body.

Just because tattoo are not your 'thing', and you don't like them doesn’t mean that they're not works of art, that they can't be beautiful.

i think that body art on women is just fine. look in some of the tattoo mags and you will see very feminine, flowing art. i got my 5th tatt yesterday. talking to artist i mentioned about the "age" thing that so many others have brought up here, he said with all the people getting tattooes, there will be more older people than what you think with them. i think that if a tattoo has meaning to you, do it. i think long and hard before getting them about design and location. unfortunately where i work, they have to be where i can cover thm up. there is nothing wrong in my opinion with having tattooes. you'd be surprised at how many different walks of lifers have them. just like the tattoo artist in one of the above answers mentioned, i know of police officers, nurses, bank tellers, firefighters, drs, and even lawers that have them. if anyone tries to tell you that they are from the devil, i have a friend who is a ordained minister herself and she thinks they are ok. the body is a temple and many of the temples are decorated with fine art.
if people don't like my tatts when i wear shorts and a sleevless blouse, then they don't have to look.
