I recently went to cancun and got really burnt on the first day. I didn't know the strength of the sun and had burns that were pretty severe, considering how dark I am. In short, my skin ended up peeling off (gross, i know). By the end of the week, all my skin had heeled and now there's, i guess, new skin (in a sense) My acne has disappeared, it feels softer, and looks even. I know this effect wont last long, how can I get it done in a spa/salon/doctor's office? Is it exfoliating? There must be a safer way. I don't know how else to describe it, ask if you need more details.

Basically, you want to speed up cell turnover to keep your pores clear. These things will help promote exfoliation/clear away old skin.

You can ask your doctor or consult a dermatologist about getting a prescription for Retin-A or Differin.

You can get a facial microdermabrasion or a glycolic peel at a salon. Be sure to go to an experienced person. A facial should never hurt. If it starts to feel painful or uncomfortable, let the tech know & have her stop.

I recommend silk peels... much less invasive than other treatments and give you exactly the same results. I have had two of them and absolutely love it! I have regular monthly visits now, unless I feel the need for more, but she doesnt recommend more than twice a month.

You should look into them.
