I just met this person and that person was supposed to rent a house. He said he'd call but he didn't. I suppose he doesn't want the house. I would have called to say that I don't want it if I had said that I'd call. Is his behavior normal?

Some people will agree to call after showing interest in something for sale, maybe a car or house. Often they are too embarrassed to call and inform the seller that they either can't afford it or that they changed their mind. Its rude, but some people just don't know any better.

This doesn't sound right to me. My mom ran in to a situation kind of like that with one of her relatives. The relative told her that they would call to let us know what time they were coming to our house so that they could visit for a bit before they left to go back to their home State. The relative didn't bother to call and let us know that they couldn't come at all and that upset both of us because we had changed our schedule for just that reason.

Some people are rude and don't do what they say they will do. Just keep it for reference. You now know that person is dishonest and lies.

Some people will actually call you.
