Contacts all the way. Here's a little test to see if you would be able to put contacts in (the big thing went I went was if I was comfortable taking them out/putting them in):
- Open your eye with thumb and forefinger of the hand you normally use
- Now, with the other hand, see if you can touch your iris without blinking
Don't actually TOUCH the cornea/iris. That isn't healthy. But see how close you can get, and if you're okay doing it - not jumpy as a rabbit or anything, you'll be fine wearing contacts. I tried it and I had no trouble. When I went to the optician, it was a new thing getting the contact in, and the first week my eyes didn't like it at all. Now I wear 'em and hardly remember they're there! (Except at night, staring at the computer, and when I'm tired.)
I'd suggest that you get prescribed for them by a doctor...then ask for a written prescription and buy them online. I get contacts that last a year at $19 per lens online at http://contacts1st.com/ !

I started wearing glasses when I started kindergarten... and I wore them everyday for 13 years!!! Then at 16 I switched to contacts and have been wearing those for almost 10 years now... and if i had to choose i would definitely choose CONTACTS!!!
Contacts are really comfortable and I for one cant even feel them in my eyes... but you have to take very good care of them.
1. Always buy good quality SOFT contacts. These things go into your eyes so you should never buy ones that are cheaper but may damage your eyes.
2. Always buy "extended wear" contacts so you dont have to worry about sleeping with them on, however i would recommend that even if you have extended wear, you take them out every night if possible and never go over 4 days without resting them.
3. Use a good quality solution and use protien removing tablets once a month to cleanse your contacts. "wash your lenses with solution every time you put them in, never put them in your eyes directly after taking them out of the case.
4. Always wash your hands thoroughly before putting in your contacts and do not wipe them with a towel or tissue as those can leave microfibres on your fingers that can irritate your eyes if they get stuck to your contact lenses.
5. Get your contacts professionally cleaned every 2 months (from the person you bought them from) and they will last longer than the usual 18 months.
6. Last but not least, if you feel like your eyes are getting inflamed or more watery than usual or irritated and itchy, take a break from using contacts for a day or two.
I hope this helps

I'm 18 and I've been wearing contacts since I was 12... I like them a lot because it allows me to wear sunglasses (I live in Texas so it's usually sunny) plus I have better peripheral vision. With glasses, you can only see out of the frames.
Just make sure your hands are clean when you're putting the contacts in your eye and be sure to change the solution that your contacts sit in reguarly.
And on the days that your contacts don't want to go in my eyes, I just slip on my glasses and walk out the door. :)

I truely think its up to you. If you hate your glasses by all means get the contacts. I like glasses and think that contacts would make my eyes water a lot since my eyes tend to do that already. I think I would loose them too. But really you might like them. I would call and ask if they have contacts you can try on before you buy them. That way you could really find out if you liked them! Hope this helps.

I have worn CL's since I was 15. I am now 44. I love them. But, I also love my glasses, I do not mind giving my eyes the break that they need ever so often, so I wear my glasses a lot too. With motivation and the most patient trainer, anyone can learn to put them in! Ask your Doctor and try it. You might be surprised!

If the optician allows you to try out contacts, that would be good. If not, buy a pair of soft contacts since they are less irritating to the eyes. If you can stand them, fine, if not, you are wiser by experience and poorer in money.
Many girls (I am presuming you are a girl) do look good with the right frame (one that suits their face). So, if contacts don't suit you (I hope they will), take your best friend along and get the frame changed.

Choose whatever you think is best for your lifestyle. I wear glasses most of the time, but do not need them all of the time. I do not wear contacts beucase I live a very busy lifestyle and think that my glasses are much quicker and more convenient than dealing with contacts. Choose whatever is best for you, only you can decide!

you could desire to attempt the two.... Contacts in case you do not choose for to placed on glasses all day, yet while your eyes get aggravated contained in the evening from donning contacts all day (like a buddy of mine), take them out and on the glasses pass. in case you opt for for glasses, you will desire to not have too plenty project finding frames you like at present (or as yet another buddy of mine says, alluring). The stigma that throughout basic terms nerds placed on glasses looks long long gone. regrettably, counting on your coverage, you would be caught with low end frames that would break unquestionably and would desire to not charm to you, or you will would desire to place a crowbar on your wallet. in case you have greater advantageous economic leverage, you could additionally discover those versatile frames which you would be able to bend a hundred and eighty stages and could not break. i in my opinion choose for glasses through fact i've got faith uncomfortable putting some thing in my eye. My in basic terms project with them is having to scrub them oftentimes.
