...a God that's "not there", that "does not exist"?

These SAME people erroneously profess "THERE is no God!, There is no God!"
People seem to spend endless hours on here attacking peoples religion and their God. It's as if they're possessed or something.

isn't that approaching something akin to say....insanity?

Greetings,

The world in which we live is composed of two realities. The first reality is the material one. This is where we exist, and enact our lives. The other is the spiritual reality. This realm is actually more important that the material one, but the vast majority of the population of this country and this world chose not believe in it and are therefore blind to its influences.

God told us that our struggle in this world as Christians is not against flesh and blood, but against the dark principalities of the spiritual realm. Everyone who is not for God is against God and therefore an agent (regardless of how oblivious or indifferent they are to the fact) of the dark principalities. It comes naturally then, that they should actively attack the truth with every fiber of their being. If the spiritual realm did not exist, then why would people be compelled to attack Christians?

Many people are also arrogant and full of sinful pride, and they think that they are somehow superior to Christians intellectually. I have posted many posts only to be attacked as unintelligent. The problem is, is that I'm not, and neither or most Christians. We just have an entirely different world-view than those who attack us. We view the world first through the bible and its teachings and wisdom while those who attack us rely on fallible human "wisdom."

My suggestion to those who feel personally attacked by people here is to realize that your fight is not against the people who attack you, but instead against the dark principalities which direct their actions. I would suggest that instead of retorting, that you pray for those who seek to belittle you, understanding that they are outside of the light which guides your life and cannot therefore understand your position.

Yours under Christ

few people get beheaded and sixty thousand Iraqi' s are killed by a country that is predominately Christian . Is saying one doesn't believe in god slightly dwarfed by the war on Iraq.
I remember two thousand Christian Hebrew Muslim and atheist
among other mindsets marching in the streets of Washington with candles helping to Convince Nixon to end the war in Viet Nam But I don't see any such response since we have a volunteer armed forces killing the lives of considerable higher numbers than who ever brought down the twin towers or even Saddam Husein . and we have lost over three thousand Americans in the process according to the news media .A verbal disagreement is hardly close to the attacks going on throughout the world that we live in.
peace through understanding not death.

JayDee.....

Its not your god we're attacking. You Christians can't seem to butt out of everyone elses lives. Its THAT thats being attacked. When you Christians learn that your religion only applies to YOU, and that you do not have the right to force anyone to ever live by YOUR religion, then you won't get so many protests.

Edit: You know what? You want to go waste your breath to your god, go ahead. But the moment you TELL us that you're praying for us is the moment you turn yourself into someone thats baiting. See... someone that actually truly has good intentions by doing that would just simply do it. They need no praise or acknowledgement for the action because they feel, in their heart, they're doing the right thing. Someone who tells others that they're doing expects special love from others for doing it, like they're going to be receiving a prize.

So go ahead and pray for me but don't tell me about it.

Perhaps the same can be said about some Christians who call non believers of God their "enemy". In fact, I've seen this word used more by some people who profess to be Christians than any other "group" of people I've seen here.

I don't attack god. I try to free people from a crippling delusion that has caused more pain, bloodshed and suffering than all the plagues, famines, and natural disasters combined.

No gods exist, but man-made religions that profess these gods exist cause all sorts of trouble, from trying to force my kid to pray before tests, to flying planes into buildings. It wasn't belief in science that brought down the WTC, it was belief in a GOD.

It's a public forum. We come here to defend our beliefs and challenge others. There's nothing wrong with talking about what you believe, no matter what it is.
