Cheap is as cheap does. ANY AR lower receiver body is registered w/ a serial #, so must be transferred thru a FFL holder.
Since any lower will cost you more than a SKS, why don't you buy a SKS, a better rifle for the money, anyway, until you can save up enough money for your 'poodle shooter' project?

For best money saving options, buy it in time. As you have money purchace the parts one by one. Start with the upper and lower. It would be best to have a friend who is an FFL dealer. But the parts at cost and add a little at a time. Thats what I did. I started with a Rock River forged A4 upper. Went from there to the EOtech 552 Sights and so forth to get the gun that I wanted. It now have the flip up rear sights, 16 inch Chrome moly barrel with a 1:9 twist, 6 position tactical CAR stock, 2 stage match trigger. It s the gun that I wanted and I did it for cost and a little under. It only cost me about $1,100 dollars. Good luck.

You have been watching too many movies and tv shows if you want an AR-15. You can buy a Romanian AK-47 and have ten times the rifle for less than you would pay for an AR receiver. It also fires a better round, the 7.62x39. With a chrome lined bore they are impervious to everything and last forever; one of the best made weapons since the introduction of the Mauser.

You can get cheap parts from M+A parts on the internet.
You'll have to find the lower somewhere else. I hear Mega makes them for about $100.

I have seen a Hess AR-15 used that went for $799 here where I live. Get yuor AR even if you pay a lot more. They are cheap to shoot. The "SKS/AK" boys are in for a real treat when the rest of those cheap 7.62x39 lots get bought up/shot up. A good AR will shoot circles arond an AK. I assume you want to target shoot. I had to sell my Armalite in '99 and I really had fun with it (M-15A2 w/post 94-pre 2004 flashider).

I live in Pa there is allways gunshows here on the weekends. My father can build a complete AR-15 for 650.00.I,d say for you to find some gun shows in your area and start looking for what you want. The nice thing about building one is you can buy it piece by piece.

Do you want a serial number if not they make a 80% completed lower and the upper you can buy from any gun shop that sells parts. If you build a gun with out a serial number you can NEVER sell said gun. In California you only have to register the gun if its a handgun I don't know about other states. Check out The Tannery Shop that's where I bought my AR15 lower and my 1911 lower they have a nice frame selection.

That's quite a hazardous rifle you're wanting there. If its not already illegal where you live, are you sure you want something that extreme for hunting? (that is...if that's what you really want to use it for...)
