Gives you an venti iced quad shot espresso vanilla latte, a bag of doritos, and a big hug! Also stars your question, that should cheer you up.

It's when you're weakest that God will make you stronger.
I struggle myself with depression, major depression to be exact. I find that the most powerful and helpful thing to do when depressed is to pray or dive into my Bible. I admit to God that I'm weak, I'm human and I can't handle the stresses of daily life without him. I HONESTLY hand over my burdens of self, worry, doubt, fear, sadness and anything else to Him. After that I usually put on some music that makes me feel better (which varies person to person...I suggest MercyMe, Third Day, Tree63 or Jars of Clay) and read some verses from a Bible by topic. If I'm especially dealing with something I look it up in a concordance and read what the Bible has to say about it. If all else fails I flip thorugh the Psalms. Usually the Psalms are filled with people just crying out for God to deliver them from various things. Even Jeremiah 29:11 and Isaiah 40 and 41 are good standby's. I know this involves a little work, but honestly giving it to God and reading about the comfort and love that He has for you if you just believe He's got it in control...then depression will truly melt away. If all else fails, just surround yourself with friends and do something to pamper yourself randomly...not faith based, but it does help!!!

Your feelings belong to you. You can decide to be happy. Count your blessings, not your wants. Get out and do something for someone else, not expecting any thing in return. Be kind, caring, tolerant, loving, forgiving and patient with every one you meet. Get out of yourself and off your pity pot. Go volunteer at a hospital or an old folks home. There are many lonely people in these places. You could bring a smile to some of those people. Give and you will receive much more.

Nope. Alcohol actually makes it worse, and any drugs you'd take might make things better momentarily, but the addiction created and the low after the high kinda kills all the awesomeness of it.

Just keep trying to live. The worst that can happen is something kills you, and if you really are all that depressed, then although that would hurt your friends and family, it'd be a release for you.

I was walking outside today to go to my sisters, I wanted to check on my niece & her new baby boy. I knew she would be alone except for her son, he is 4 weeks old now. He is so adorable, it is amazing how a baby can make you smile. Babies will always stare at you and make you laugh. As I was talking to him he just stared at me & laughed. Have you ever imagined what babies think? Well, I do and my guess would be what the heck is this person saying.
The way I am trying to cheer you up is to think about a baby and if you have one, pick him/her up and look in their eyes so you will be cheered up by the little angel

When my boyfriend cheated on me, I was depressed and went to the religious sites to get help. It didn't seem to work. Then I went to the free tarot site and did a reading. It said to find someone else and all would be ok. I felt better. I don't mean to downgrade religion or say tarot is true. Tarot is just your mind finding an answer. Hope this helps.

How about another joke to lighten the air?
A woman in a coma has a vision of God. She asks Him, "Lord....is this it? Is it time for me to die?"

God said, "No...you still have 4 years.....6 months.....3 hours.....and 34 minutes to live"

"Great" she said.

So when she awoke from her coma, she immediately went to get plastic surgery. She got a new chin, liposuction, breast augmentation, face lift......etc......
Two days later, she was hit by a car and died.
When she approached God again she said, "I thought you said I still had 4 years to live?"

God answered and said, "Sorry....I didn't recognize you"
