Divide 512 by the size of 1 picture at the highest resolution and that will give you the minimum, the maximum is given by the division of 512 over 1 picture of lowest resolution.
if 1 picture you take is 7 megabytes then you divide 512/7=73 picture on your memory stick

Assuming they are all 1pixel by 1 pixel bitmaps, you can fit 9256395 pictures, Assuming average size with jpg compression around 2600. Assuming proprietary digital camera format, 150-750. A really large image may not fit on at all.

It depends on how much detail is in the images. With, say, 2 megapixel images (a reasonable quality digital camera) you might get around 100. With lower resolution images (like camera phones) you might get 1,000.

Depends on teh resolution of the camera, quality settings, if it set to record as RAW (big files) or JPG (smaller files)
I get up to 200 on a 512MB using my 4mp camera in high quality mode though
Most digital cameras come with a user manual, when you read it there is normally a table showing estimated file sizes for different resolution settings and quality settings.
