Drink coffee or tea. Eat a fruit that has alot of fiber, such as a pear or apple. Make sure to drink plenty of water each day. Everyone is different but if you don't get relief in a comfortable amount of time go to a pharmacy and look at the alternatives. They range from drinks to pills.

Fruits, juices especially prune/prune mix or eat a few prunes in the morning. Also increase your fiber. Eat a fiber rich breakfast cereal or get otc fiber additive for the cereal you eat or try some of the mix- it -in -your- juice type.
If you just need a quick fix...Maalox is good and easy on the system.

If the other suggestions don't work, administer an enema consisting of 1 cup dark molasses mixed with a quart of room-temperature milk. And make sure you are very near the commode when you do this. It works big time and fast!

If you have fresh fruit, it is good. Like banannas, or pears or apples or even strawberries. The key is fiber. High fiber waffles, like kashi's brand, or high fiber foods like brocolli also work well and these are all natural suggestions. Prunes, of course work very well, and they taste better than most people think.

Try a gentle over the counter laxative. You can also try to add more fiber to ur diet to get u moving. If nothing seems to work then see ur dr since there could be something else going on.

You can use castor oil mixed with orange juice (recommended dosage is on the bottle). This works quickly but may give you awful stomach pains at "intermittent" moments. I would only recommend this method when grape or apple juice, prunes, etc., fail to work. Increasing water intake and forgoing cheeses, etc. also helps.
Good luck & feel better!
