me and my friend both have dogs (mini poodle and bichon) and we were wondering if there where any ways to calm our dogs while the big city fireworks go of during the night? we dont want any remedies or anything like that just simple things that will sooth them.

Keep them inside in a kennel with the lights turned off and classical music softly playing in the background. It will be very relaxing.

Even though it looks cute taking your pets to see the fireworks, the dog will be miserable. The high pitched sounds of the fireworks tortures him, not to mention it will be so loud it could damage his hearing.

Let them stay inside, put them in a comfortable place that's away from windows or doors. Give them something else to do, bones or kongs with food in them. Turn on the TV or radio for some other background noise.

from what I've heard: a place to hide, a place to block out sound, and a t-shirt on the dog.
