I have the image iso file. and i am trying to use Nero 7. But everytime i try to put it on the cd. it works fine. and when i try to boot from the disk to install it. It begins to work but then it has problems. Can someone give me steps on how to use Nero 7 to put the image on my cd. or if there is another program i can use or another Version of Linux that is recommended

Try using BurnCDCC to burn the .iso file.

Also be patient. Installing Linux can take a while since it has to format the hard drive and install the OS all while its running in local memory. As for other versions of Linux, I'd recommend:
- PCLinuxOS
- Fedora Core
- Mandriva
- Puppy Linux
- Simply Mepis

Since you stated your problem somewhat incomplete, then I assume that you have successfully recorded the .iso file, but when your CD drive tries to read the recorded CD, it can't read it, which means your recording process is an unsuccessful or a failure. Then try to use Record Now http://www.download.com/RecordNow/3000-2646_4-10292812.html.
