I am no better than anyone else and no one is better than me. People may be richer than i am, Smarter than i am, etc. But we are all human beings therefore we are all equal.

In a heathen sense, "hamingja" or "sacred Luck," which is a vastly different quality than mere chance. It was the power of success looked for in chieftains and kings.

When Luck is combined with nobility and praiseworthy deeds and virtues . . . that is a superior person. Everyone is entitled, under the laws of most countries at least, to equal *rights* . . . but not every person actually gets dealt an equal shot at life, and not everyone is capable of equal success. Plain truth.

I will second Laurisa on some of that. I am more intelligent than many, I have more money than many, I am kinder than some, and have better morals than lots of folks, but then again I am uglier than Kathy Ireland, my business abilities are lacking compared to Donald Trumps, and I know absolutely nothing about the Nasdaq.

So, does this make me superior to others? Yes. I am a superior human being in comparison to mass murderers, rapists, child pornographers, drug dealers, and other violent criminals.

Why? Because I'm here to help society in whatever manner I can, instead of attempting to destroy it. THAT makes me better.

We are all superior to others in some respects. By the same token, we fall short in many other ways. It's what makes us human. If we took the time to share with others what we know well and humbly accept the teachings of others who know better, then we would raise the superiority of the entire human race.

No one is perfect, so nothing would make someone better than someone else. But some people need that feeling of superiority so they make up reasons using race, intelligence, religion or some other factor.

But superiority is an extention of pride and that is a deadly sin.

If I believe that I am better than you (even without the evidence) that is a false superiority.

i am in "competiton" with myself, to see if i can be the best I can be.

I am an apple, you are an orange.

Am I better than you? No. Are you better than me? No. we're just different. Leave it at that

Whatever it is in your culture that is prized.

In America, it is good looks, money, intelligence, creativity, and cajones.

In a small South Pacific island, it may be boat building or fishing ability that separate the studs from the duds.

No one is any better than anyone else. We are all the same. Some people might make more mistakes than others. Some people might be more philanthropic or altruistic than others. That doesn't make them a better or a worse person.
