I see allot of people giving advice, sharing their knowledge but asking very few questions. Do those that refrain from asking questions, as often as others, gone to a self proclaimed higher level, where you feel you have all the answers with nothing new to learn?

I personally, have two more things to learn, then I am done.

I myself,am a bit shy, when asking questions..stage fright...(I guess)...but am bold in sharing my faith or some quick witted piece of funnyness. I am slowly stepping out into that arena, with a few questions, here and there. Eventually,I plan to rule the world with a heavy fist...but just baby steps for now...then wham..one day the name of Bonsai Bobby will strike fear in the hearts and minds of men and women,globally..maybe I am getting carried away with this....

Yeah I do find it easier to answer questions here than ask because the only flak you'll get for an answer is a thumbs down (unless your answer really rubs someone up the wrong way) whereas ask a question that goes against someones belief and there are plenty of trolls that will flame you for it.....

To be honest though, personally this hasn't happened much to me and I think something is to be said for the way the question is worded. If you come straight out and say "Do you think (insert religion) is stupid or what?" then of course you will get shot down. If, however you instead say "Why do (insert religion) believe in X,Y or Z?" then you're likely to get more articulate and serious answers.

A question so obviously loaded with ego is going to get a similarly scathing answer.....

No, definitely not. Its just that every time i come here to ask a question i get distracted.

I genuinely love to help people and over the past few months my life has changed dramatically.

Answering questions here actually makes me feel needed and useful.

I do ask questions now and then though, but i mostly search for similar questions and read the answers. If i get a desired answer from my search then i don't bother to ask, if not, i ask.

I never feel that i a too good to ask or that i am at any 'higher level' than anybody else.

hope this answer your question.

God bless

Not to be mean, but if I wanted good answers, I normally would not ask strangers on the Internet. I would send an e-mail to an acknowledged expert on the subject. I know many published and well acknowledged theologians as acquaintances, so if I really wanted to know something about my own religion, I would probably ask them.

If I just want random opinions from random people, I ask a question here on Yahoo.

BTW, Google seems to have a more educated pool of people on its version of answers.

Good question. I stumbled across this... I guess I've only answered so far (all two of what I've answered) because the other answers that were given were incomplete and better advice needed to be given, especially considering most of it wasn't answering the question as given. I'll be sure to post something up when I get a good question though, that hasn't been asked yet.

More often than not, questions in this section are poorly veiled attempts at rhetorical questioning.

It's mental masturbation that makes the asker feel all fuzzy about himself for 3 seconds because he was just SO clever...

There are legitimate interesting questions - but few and far between.

It seems that I don't always have original questions... So many things have already been asked, even though I wasn't here then. It doesn't seem to matter. That's why everyone gets so bitter. It's the same stuff over and over.

yes it is easier to answer

but I am not at any higher level lol

seems like the troll questions receive more answers than a legitimate one will

who wants that kind of rejection?!

I think it's simply that those who tend not to ask questions online have other sources that they use. I can think of a few that are better than Yahoo answers. ;)

Yes, I suppose.

I view questions as being FAR deeper.

Answers are cool but QUESTIONS have to tax the mind.
