Two Couples are leaving from st. louis missouri, one couple is going west and the other couple is going east. If the couple going east is driving a Mini Cooper (V6) and the other couple is driving a Honda accord (hybird) and they are both driving at the speed of 85 mph, which couple will make it o the ocean 1st?

The couple going West b/c the couple going east will hit traffic in Chicago, Indianoplis, Nashville, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and DC.
You can shoot through the midwest b/c it's less densely populated!!!!!

would depend on their routes... doesn't really matter about the car if they are both going the same speed.
It would all depend upon the route and the distance from st louis each way... and then there is traffic or are you hypothesizing they would have an open road the whole way? What about gas stops.. the size of each gas tank would affect how long each car stayed on the road or is that discounted too?

Ok, using standard roads, and crossing bridges as needed until you reach either the atlandtic or the pacific, Id go with the mini.. once the honda breaks down in the midwest the 2 week delay for parts will slow it down. (assuming there is someone who even knows how to fix it)
