I did a survey, and found that 21 out of 29 polled are Christians. However, there seems to be an unusually large amount of Christian bashing on Yahoo answers, with little or no defense of the faith.
In my survey at least, (with yes or no answers) those who answered that they were Christians recieved an automatic "thumbs down" vote by the level 2 guys.
Am I just paranoid, and if not: why, If there are so many of us, is nobody speaking up?

There are plenty of Christians here. Some just know how to choose their battles. If you see an obvious troll engaging in some Christian-bashing, you have to ask yourself how much time you're willing to spend constructing an answer for somebody who isn't even posing an intellectually honest question.

I try to answer the questions that are directed to Christians, but you know I have answer some questions my self and wondered why I was the only one defending my Jesus and my Faith. I know we don't get to see all the questions because we just don't have the time. But I think I know what you mean, I really don't care if I get 100 thumbs down, I am still going to defend my faith, that thumbs down dont mean anything to me.

The proof of God's existence is in the changed lives of His people and the power of His presence. I am sorry to see so many Christian brothers and sisters not walking the walk. It's also ashamed that our society is tolerant of every religion except Christianity. This doesn't really answer your question but I felt the need to say this

Sam--Maybe the "turn the other cheek" mentality is keeping your Christian brothers and sisters from fighting back? Or maybe they just don't know what to say to some of the questions put to them by "bashers". Either way, let everyone who believes strongly in their chosen Paths, step up and speak out! Meekness does not mean weakness!!! Blessings!

I am a Christian. I couldn't answer last night because I wasn't here.
Most of the time, I don't defend myself because it's a waste of time. The ones who goad/attack, call us names like idiot and the a word would not listen or care. Some of them are so full of hate for all Christians that nothing we can say or do makes a difference. I choose not to "spin my wheels."
There's a saying I could quote about pearls, but I won't do that, either.

I'm christian, Catholic to be specific. I don't speak up most times b/c most of these are bashers and don't deserve an intelligent reponse. I know God and Jesus and that's all that really matters. And no, you're not just paranoid, being religious and proud of it in a public forum is bound to bring out people who aren't and who see it as a weakness to be proud of your faith.

I think most Christians don't answer because there are a number of Christians who are simply @$$holes to anyone who isn't Christian.
They don't want to be associated with that small minority of vocal, bigotted, uneducates, whiny people who share their faith.
My two cents

Many of the questions and comments are so inane that they don't warrant any type of a response.
