Matthew 12:31-32
31And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

It's a deep question, but here goes...
Jesus's words were a response to people who saw healing and wholeness and called it "Satan". If you see the very essence of goodness (which is the meaning of "holy spirit") and you call it "evil", how can you ever be made good? Unless you can see goodness as good, you can't ever embrace it. The inability to be forgiven rests not with God's capacity to forgive, but with our own internal disposition.
Peace to you.

This is a heavy question. This is what I think.
The Holy Trinity is one in Heaven, but they are like arms and legs and eyes. The Father and Son are perfect in all aspects, and cannot be slowed by evil, and are able to forgive anything. The Holy Spirit is a warrior who fights against evil every day every moment for all of us and it isn't easy when you aren't totally perfect to watch innocence suffer in the earth.
I can't find the right words to describe how awesome the Holy Spirit is to me. They do what is right without being 100% perfect, and this is an awesome thing. I retract all labels from the Holy Trinity.
Be blessed.

you could desire to recollect who stored on putting catch inquiries to J'esus a great kind of the time: the Pharisees. on occasion, Herodians and Sadducees too. you notice, they did no longer have faith J'esus grow to be a rabbi which grow to be a identify of honor given to a instructor of the Mosaic regulation. They knew that Christ claimed the proper to interpret the regulation (see Mt. 5:20-40 8) yet as he wasn't one in all their sect (in the experience of non secular college or group) they might not concede this manner of precise to Him. So the identify "rabbi" given him by skill of the criminal expert/Pharisees is insincere. Now, to respond to your question, you could desire to recollect that the Holy Spirit is the third Divine man or woman of the Trinity. "ultimately, all sin is against G-d. Sin against the Holy Spirit is severe because of the fact the Holy Spirit is the guy who convicts us of sin. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit won't be able to be forgiven. Conviction preceded repentance. without the convicting Spirit, we gained't discover forgiveness. Blasphemy against the Spirit is the willful and blatant act of attributing to devil that that's clearly the paintings of the Holy Spirit. This poor sin happens while a man or woman consciously rejects the reality, believing devil somewhat than G-d. G-d won't forgive such blatant insurrection. the character of the difficulty is debated. Has the middle grow to be so hardened the guy won't be able to distinguish stable from evil or won't be able to repent? Or does G-d of His very own loose decision close the door to any obtainable repentance? some have tried to furnish a catalog of "unforgivable" sins, however the recent testomony would not checklist the different sins previous forgiveness. We could desire to be careful to no longer be conscious the doctrine in the incorrect way. people who sense this style of craving for salvation may well be helpful the Spirit keeps to paintings of their lives. the place the Spirit works, grace for forgiveness is obtainable. some human beings in desperation or anger shake a fist and ***** to G-d. they're purely repeating the movements of most of the psalmists. they at the instant are not responsible of the unforgivable sin. The doctrine of the unforgivable sin is a warning against overconfidence and non secular blindness, no longer a momentary wrongdoing." * and you do no longer want a diploma to respond to this, you purely want a reliable assertion of the Gospel.

I often wondered about this myself..... I have started a Bible study, I study different ppls ideas, and interpretations, and I have come to this conclusion, with the help of my latest study, and by being Spirit lead to think this, and this is just MY summation of those verses !!!! It is not saying that you can not speak against per sa" , but that turning your back on and not accepting the Holy Spirit for who and what it is that will get you into trouble........ to say there is NO Holy Spirit is to say there is no God or Jesus....... but, this is my interpretation !!!!! God bless

This proclamation that was spoken by Jesus Christ was in response to the hypocritcial teachers of the day,who had knowingly subscribed the miraculous works of the Holy Spirit through Jesus,to the work of Satan.(clearly,Blasphemy).
The person of the Holy Spirit, brings revelation, conviction and delivers the grace of God to those who will to come to him in faith, believing. Without the works of the Holy Spirit on
the hearts and minds of man...No one would will to come to the foot of the Cross,to recieve salvation.
Very Good question....I like you....and with permission will add you as a contact. Thanks for the respectable question.(I like to see those who are not professing Christians, ask such questions)
EDIT Yup..I am definately a nut...way over the edge nut.

Oh...well I do that all the time...
Sin against man(the physical) can be forgiven but not the spirt. It makes sense. It's like "Deny me before man and I shall deny you before of my father"Like do what you will against the solid but not the spirit.
Wow I didnt know that..interesting.

Because you sin against yourself.
We are all part of the Spirit.

Those are very intense verses. My Pastor and others I have heard teach that the only sin that God will not forgive is the rejection of Jesus.

That is just a threat to make people believe and preach the holy spirit. The church is just one big cult and one thing that cults don't like are the people trying to bring them down.
