And what purpose would such a study serve? Do you think only people in the Military are susceptible to cheating? It happens everywhere...Military and civilian people have to deal with the same issue. Amazing how many people seem to think cheating is so much more prevalent in the Military. I know very few people who have actually cheated or been cheated on in the Military and I've been a Army wife for 9 years. But, then again I watch the company I keep and am careful not associate with people who do things I would never consider doing.

Surely some research has been done on this subject. It would probably be something similar to divorce rate in the military

What would be the point? It goes on every day in the civilian world. Magazines do interviews and take polls on the subject all the time. All it does is tell the world that people are screwing around. People in the military are really no different. Right now I think they have enough to worry about.

the same reason no body has done research on infidelity among police officers, or firemen, or teachers.

military service has NOTHING to do with whether or not a person cheats. they will cheat regardless of the job they have.

Maybe since its illegal for a service member to cheat and no one is willing to have their names associated with such a study.

It would be a long paper,and theres just to many variables why people do it. Stress,anger, getting even and so on.
