Wow--I thought I was the only one that thought this----and here you are with the same opinion! When I read the "DaVinci Code" I read it because it created such an outcry from the Christian Community. (Please forgive the generalization--Not all Christians spoke out against this book.) I read the fictional account of the "Holy Grail" and wondered what the problem was! If Jesus was married and had children, does that detract from His Divinity for Christians? It shouldn't! It would only make me feel closer to God to know that Jesus loved someone just like I do! How comforting it would be to know that Jesus had a wife and children that He loved. Wouldn't that make His sacrifice for our "sins" even more precious? After all, that would mean that He not only gave His life but also gave up His earthly family that He loved! THAT would truly be a sacrifice!

We need to focus on the teachings, and the fact that he wasn't a fallen soul. He was incarnate from the highest sphere of enlightenment, and he was sent to earth to defeat evil on it's own playing ground, hence becoming the way for fallen spirits to escape the torment of duality.
I love Jesus Christ. Amen.

Jesus was much more than a man. He was God's physical presence on this earth. He was here for the sole purpose of dying for our sins. He is often referred to as a lamb because He was God's sacrifice for us and in order for something to be offered or sacrificed it must be pure. How often have you heard in paegan rituals or movies that a " virgin" be sacrificed. Even sacrifices related to evil causes call for a pure sacrifice. If Jesus had lived his life contrary to the way God the Father wanted him to his death would have been in vain and our sins would not have been forgiven. Peace and God bless.

One of the main hidden revelation of God's Mystery is precisely this: Believers are the "Offspring" of Jesus and they are given the privileges to declare HIM to the world.
Search the scriptures and you will see how beautifully the Bible is inspired By the Holy Spirit.
For a starts : Matthew's account of Genealogy- One generation after Christ is missing = We the believers are His (Jesus' offspring)

It is only man's misconception of sexuality that would make him think that way. If has been reinforced by Catholicism and other religions who think that if someone has had sex they are impure. Yes, we want to keep our spirit pure, but it isn't through abstinence...it is through stillness of mind and getting rid of what isn't innately spirit. Check out what I mean at: http://www.thekelee.org/index.htm
This is the proverbial holy grail...the vessel where dysfunction awaits until it is cleared.

We are all His children, and He is perfect, so we could never be like Him. He would have no need to have sex as we do to create, He only needs to say it is so and creation is there. You have to understand His purpose for coming to earth was to sacrifice Himself for our sins, raising a family was not in the plan.

It does not seem to be a bad thing necessarily..It just was not his purpose, for visiting us..He came for a far more important reason....To seek and save those who were lost and trapped in sin, rebellion and unbelief....to share the words of eternal life to lost humanity and to eventually die in sacrificial covenant for all who would come to him in faith, believing.
