Well, it's certainly obvious. And not really a good way to try leading someone to faith in Christ. You can say more by the way you walk out your faith day to day, than by doing something that may be offensive to the person---and end up pushing them farther away.
I'll have to go with rude...and not beneficial.

It's actually extraordinarily rude, and this is coming from a Christian.

What if a Satanist left a Satanist book on your desk because they thought your belief in God would lead you down a path THEY don't approve of?

Just like it's rude when atheists attack Christian beliefs and try to use logic/science to disprove everything one believes, it's also rude the other way around.

You had NO right to do that, especially to a coworker, which now just makes their working enviornment uncomfortable and possibly hostile.

You doing this is the reason many people become atheists in the first place, because somebody claiming to be a Christian has acted unChristlike and has thus shaken the ideals of Christianity in the first place.

If Christ did something like you just did to somebody else, Christianity would never have been born.

Write an apology note and try not to ever so grandly overstep your boundaries on such a sensitive topic as religion again.

Yes, that was very rude and inconsiderate. I realize that you think that his soul is at stake and that it is up to you to try to save him, but what you have to realize is that you cannot force your religion on other people. Just like you wouldn't want for him to leave atheist pamphlets on your desk, he will likewise feel as though you have crossed the line. Faith is an intensely personal experience and should be kept to oneself, unless someone asks you about it. The best thing that you can do is set the best example that you can as a Christian and hope that he notices that there is something about you that is different from the other people he knows, and maybe one day he will ask you why you act the way that you do. Forcing your beliefs on him will likely reinforce the negative stereotype that he already has about Christians, which will push him further away.

I'm sorry but you can probably answer this question yourself. Would you feel offended if your atheist coworker left a book by Professor Richard Dawkins or an article about evolution and science on your desk?
Their reasoning would be the same as yours (ie. for your own good). Would you think it rude?
Hope this helps

Would you appreciate a book about why God is fake?

Be careful about wittnessing at work. You may loose your job and then who will you blame? Your not being persecuted for the name of Jesus in this case.

While at work your on work time. Render to the boss what is the due, and to Jesus what is due Him.

Give up preaching at work. It's hypocrytical and will only bring a reproach to the name of Christ. Let your joy and love be the wittness. Don't let the devil ruin your finances by making you feel guilty if you don't constantly tell everyone about Jesus.

You owe your boss your time when he is paying you. You owe Jesus the best job you have ever done to bring glory to His name.

Be the first to arrive, the last to leave. Never complain.

And above all this;;; Make that dude know beyond a shadow of a doubt that your heart was right, but you were foolish in what you did by leaving that book on his desk. He could have your job! It's harrasment my friend.

An atheist is not the same than an ignorant, sometimes they know more about religions of the world than we do. An atheist can read the bible just he/she is gonna take it like a extremely interesting History class. Bible is a great book even if you are not a believer.

You know the answer. This is one of "those" questions asked in a poor attempt to be funny/sarcastic.
I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just doing it for your own good. I know you don't want to ask silly questions.

By the way, your last sentence doesn't ask a question, so a period rather than a question mark is needed. I know you want to appear intelligent. It gives you more credibility.

Less rude than many christians. It's like junk mail, pick it up and read it, or throw it away.

I am an atheist and own several bibles, I've read it several times. It is easier to debunk the bible if you've read it.

Yes that is very rude.If I were left a bible on my desk I'd be pissed off and I would go against what you were trying to do just because you took the wrong approach BIG TIME.
If you want to enlighten someone, try casual conversation and avoid saying things like "He can save you",dont out right say what you mean. You cant force your beliefs on someone,if he/she dosent want it,by all means leave it alone.

Forcing your religion on someone is not only RUDE but at WORK it should be grounds for immediate discipline--you are at WORK not at church.... there is a separation of church and state in this country----you do NOT bring YOUR religion into the work place and force it on ANYONE---any more then an atheist should force HIS or her beliefs on YOU or anyone else ESPECIALLY in the work place.... you owe that person a HUGE apology!!!! and you will be lucky if you do not get a reprimand from YOUR BOSS... if you want to bring your bible to work, that's YOUR BUSINESS but it is NOT your business to give one to someone else IN THE WORK PLACE... it's just not a proper place to DO that... SORRY...if I was your boss, I DEFINITELY would have reprimanded you for this...
