Your dream represents you taking steps to remove and preserve your mind from certain issues which are related to your personal life. Surgery represents self initiative to cut and dissect into problems in your life. "Ice in the cooler" represents the place of preservation. In this case, preserving your mind.

Very cool. Maybe it means you have the ability to detach yourself from all the cerebral noise that often resembles a labyrinth. It's very refreshing to be able to detach yourself from cerebral intelligence because it shows you that there are other forms of consciousness and other forms of intelligence.
I've also heard of people who dreamed of their hearts being removed. This affected hearing as well. They were re-learning how to feel and think and hear for themselves and had to detach themselves from their previous conditioning.
Maybe you are letting go some of your previous conditioning. This can free up your consciousness and your sense of what is real.
Did the dream make you feel refreshed or just strange?
Oh, here's another interesting thought. The ancient Egyptians used to throw away the brain during mummification. But they kept the heart in the body where it was preserved. For the Egyptians the brain was not as important an organ as the heart. The heart kept a record of the life's real meaning and true actions. So, maybe you are also being introduced to the importance of the heart as a form of intelligence and meaning. The Egyptians believed in something called the Ka or double. In dreams the double can watch the body as if detached from it. They literally believed the double was being trained throughout life to prepare for separation from the body after death. So it had to also be purified. The ka was not so interested in cerebral intelligence the way we are. Egypt was centered more on the heart and intelligence associated with the heart. It was the Greeks who became really interested in the brain and cerebral intelligence.
Also during REM whole parts of the brain can be shut off. Probably only in "Big Dreams" does the complete brain get really involved.
Very cool dream. Hope it makes you feel alright.

LOL...sorry! You are the best interpreter of your own dream...only you know what's been going on in your life and how that might relate to the content of your dream. Maybe it means that someone else has been doing your thinking for you or making your decisions for you, lately ("they took your brain")..and trying to convince you that that's "alright"("it'll be fine as long as we keep it on ice")...but deep down inside, you object...??? (You want to think for yourself and have others respect your right to do so.)

You undoubtedly have a lot on your mind - seriously. The dream indicates the desire to take the overload and "put it on ice" ; that is, stop the stress. It also indicates that your subconscious has the power to stop and sort things out better - so that you may think more clearly and be more peaceful in your mind.

To dream of your brain, suggests that you are under severe intellectual stress. It may also symbolize your problem-solving abilities and that you need to put those abilities to use. Alternatively, it may imply that your ideas are not receiving enough attention and validation. You are concerned that your knowledge and teachings are not be transmitted clearly
