When I went on a date last Saturday with a girl I like very much, she said, "Oh, I really wanted to thank you for the roses!" When I looked thoroughly confused and explained that I never gave put roses on her doorstep, she realized that a guy friend of hers that obviously has a crush on her put those roses on her doorstep with my name on them. After dropping her off at home once the date was over, I drove over to the local Wal-Mart and bought a single rose (she said she likes one rather than many) and I wrote on a little card To: 'her name' From: 'my name' (the real one). I rang her doorbell and skedaddled out of sight. Girls, was this right thing to do?

Yes, it was! You sound like a very sweet, nice guy! She should be lucky to have found a guy like you and I hope she hangs on to you. And I give you sooooo much credit for wanting to stick around with her since her friend bought her roses. Alot of guys would get discouraged by that and give up. You obviously like her alot. Keep treating her the way you are now and you guys will have a good relationship.

thats sounds like a great thing. its very romantic and i am impressed you listened to her about the only liking one rose thing, That will go over real well with her. she will be very happy. you should though tell her that the bunch of roses was not from you cause you dont want to start a relationship on the wrong foot, i mean with a lie. im sure she will understand just gotta explain it. plus i think she will be much happier with that one rose she likes so much.
good luck

that was soo cute..no doubt she loved that little suprise..any girl would, especially after she was probably embarrased about thinking you gave her the roses in the first place. That was definatley the right thing to do.

I'm betting that she thought that was a real sweet gesture, the "one" rose being a clue that it was from the REAL you.
But the next rose you buy for her, present it to her in person!
