If fighting fire with fire is effective?

...is it just as effective to fight the nonsense of religious beliefs with the nonsense of religious belief?

I'd like to see the thing completely extinguished within my lifetime, so I'm looking for the most efficient methods.

Is very effective. The best way to extinguish a forest fire is with fire. The only way to battle the fundamentalist Christians is knowing the things that they know (If any).

There have been nonsensical religious beliefs competing on Earth for a long, long time, but they haven't eliminated each other yet.

If you are talking about making up a new religion that satirizes existing religions, that's been done too. It doesn't seem to have a whole lot of effect. But it can be entertaining.

If you really are hoping that all nonsensical religious beliefs will be eliminated in your lifetime, I guess there is always the possibility of a giant asteroid hitting Earth and wiping out humanity. That would get rid of all the nonsensical religious beliefs. Short of that, however, I don't see much chance of it happening any time soon.

You have just explained what exactly is happening nonsense agaist nonsense, Christians like to think they are better than Moslems, are they serious try telling that to people who were burned at the stake in the middle ages in the name of christianity.
