Would god give a "weaker, subservient sex" the magical capability to maintain and sustain and give birth to new life? Why wasn't the man the vessel to give birth? Surely, if god is so great, he could have easily engineered the "plumbing" differently, right? So, what's so divine and magical about a man's 5 seconds of climax when he makes a few F faces and a sperm deposit? That's the end of his "miracle". The female is where the magic happens. God has to be a chick. Plus, we get to live longer on average, and experience less health problems overall. Plus, women are naturally more spiritually and empathically inclined.
All you dudes need to bow down. Burn your burkas! We are goddesses!!

Smiles and applauds!!!!I am a grandmother and I sure agree with you! Don't forget women have a much higher tolerance for pain. And Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did but she did it backwards and in heels. Thanks for the smile tonight!

The truth is God is not either Male or Female. He is referred to as "Him" because the Male sex more closely describes him.
If you are lucky enough to make it to eternal life (in which case you have a long, long... Long road ahead of you) you will not be of any gender either.
A "Goddess" huh?
This is the questioning of Satan... who would like to turn the Bible upside down and backwards.
Woman was created for Man.... that he feel complete in her companionship and love. Woman was G-d's gift to Man... so that his empty earthly desire could be fufilled.
G-d's gift. Raise your hand if you think it is a bad thing to be a gift from G-d!
Ever been asked "Do you think you were G-d's gift to Women?" Well indeed Women are G-d's gift to you, and should be treated as such.
She was also granted the blessing of creating another human life within her.
Thats quite a resilient job in and of itself.
Women are unintelligent? Helpless? Nope.
A good Man is a good Man, and a good Woman is a good Woman.
There you have it. A Truthful answer to a foolish question. May God bless you!

God appears as whatever He/She wants to be.
More often than not God is depicted as male because of Patriarchal societies. Look at how it was at the time of Christ. A woman prophet would have needed a serious miracle just to stay alive to get an audience let alone followers.
Even today look how they are treated in the Middle East.

Actually, I believe it makes lot of sense that there is both a female god as well as a male god. Don't you think so?

If you read the Torah correctly, you would have read that G-d created "man" and "woman" in His image...
Genesis 1:26-27:
26 Then G-d said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
Every man and every woman are made at the "image" and "likeness" of G-d .
My picture is may "image", but if that picture could talk like me, and laugh and love like me, than picture would be "like me", my "likeness"... and we were made not only at the "image" of G-d, but also in the "Likeness" of G-d, like G-d, free like G-d, immortal like G-d, eternal like G-d, to love like G-d... to rule the earth and the sea and the air like G-d...
27 So G-d created man in his own image, in the image of G-d he created him; male and female he created them.
"Man" here and in most of the Bible includes both "male" and "female"... when the word "man" is in the Bible is the same as saying "human", includes both "male" and "female", there is not prejudice in the Bible, both are made at the image and likeness of G-d.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thus..the answer is no, G-d does not HAVE to woman. You are thinking as a bigot. Or, as a person who is too woman's lib...
It clearly states in the Torah...well, anyway, read and you will be enlightened.
Good grief - you have a high opinion of yourself!
God is spirit. Neither male nor female really.
Honestly, God would have known that if men were going to go through labor, the population would dwindle in a generation.
Read the Old Testament. God is a total dick. And don't you think a woman would have pulled over this wild ride called Creation by now and asked for directions?
